Two things Joe; 1. I'm a H&S person, so I get it from all directions, daily. I can handle blame. 2. Should that if, not read when???
@JackWS Seems you are all prepared then. My Tracy i must tell you her heritage come from Scotland. Her Mother was from Glasgow the Gorbals Think i spelt that right.
@Regit nogara Yes i did. Please don't tell Tracy. All the years we have been together and i have never seen the angry side of my good Lady. And that might just push her over the edge.
@Regit nogara Yes she is. And her Mum would never have let me of with the stupid spelling i did. Bless her. She was the best cook other than Tracy and my Mum i have ever had the pleasure to meet and she was so much fun and caring.
Well peeps. I have the Honda now. It runs sweet but i have it all stripped to clean it up and treat the rusty bits. Have had to order some bits like clutch cable as i though i would have a quick spin put it into gear and the cable snapped. And a few other miscellaneous bits. As soon as i get it sorted some pictures will follow.
Sorry to read this Joe! TBH ,it`s making me think twice about purchasing a Tiger! What year CB500 have you bought or have i missed something
@STIFFLER The Honda is a 96 model and has had seven owners prior to me. And this is something i do to all my new bikes. Just a habit and saves things getting any worse. It is just an old winter bad weather machine to save the Triumph.
@Dartplayer Thanks mate. Again sorry to hear about your little mishap. I am just putting the Honda back together again after tidying up all the bits that looked worse for wear or corroded. Nothing to bad but that's just me. Also added a few bits like fly screen and hand guards. So over the next few days i will get it out and post a couple of pictures.
As promised peeps here is my new to me Honda cb500. Obviously not clean in the pictures as i only just put it all back together and wanted to let you all see it. Will attack it tomorrow with polish to spruce it up a little.
Lovely, Joe. Many safe and happy miles, mate (I accept that “many” may end up being something of an overstatement ).
@joe mc donald Your Honda looks great, Joe!! You did a fantastic job. I'd never guess it's as old as it is. It has aged well...and I'm sure it's feeling even better after you providing some TLC.
