Hi all, just installed this legendary exhaust plus a DNA filter and bar ends mirrors. Bike is now looking really good and I'm wondering what else I should change on it... After the install, the bike shorted a couple of times when I was trying to switch it on (resetting the clock), also in another instance, while warming up, at the flick of the throttle it couldn't sustain the revs and wanted to switch off...so I did restart it and went on at idle just fine ♂️ I don't know, perhaps the ECU is still learning the new changes. Haven't remapped yet, would it be worth loading the street twin map for the vance and hines? It seems available on TuneECU... Thanks in advance.
Hi Bosco. I would try the self tune first. It works on most modern triumphs. Start the motor and let it idle for 12 minutes. Do not touch the throttle during this time. The fan should cut in and out 2/3 times during this cycle. Turn off and then go for a test run. Let us know how you get on.
Hi there, yup I've done that already I'm quite familiar with the 12 minutes adaptation and loading maps, my Scrambler 865 has a TTP map and other fun things. As far as I know the ECU can only self adjust to minor mods, but something like a unrestricted full system exhaust + custom filter needs a remap...am I correct? I'm kinda looking for somebody that managed to install a Street Twin Vance & Hines full system map on a newer Scrambler (mine is Euro 5), like a post 2021...
