Of course it didn't last . Congratulations, @joe mc donald I hope you enjoy your new bike when it arrives.
@Regit nogara Thanks mate just want a bike i can still get out on if the weather is reasonable and at present it is. My Darling Tracy has again paid totally for this one so i have her to thank.
@learningtofly Thanks mate yes i have had a few cb500's and do like the way they ride. This one has supposedly had some work to make it go better.
A loving wife and financier, best of both worlds Joe. Bike in Northwich, up the road from me. Will you collect or have delivered?
@Regit nogara No this time i have decided to have it delivered as the dealer said he would include the delivery in the price so i don't get cold hands. Just hope it goes as well as it looks. Always dubious when a bike has been worked at thinking did they do it right. And once in my life i wish i were not so selfish and looked the other way as Tracy is always stepping in to purchase my whims and wants. I o love her so so very much but wish it could be without always relying on her and her savings to bail me out and buy really things i don't really need. But that is me selfish to the core.
Not selfish at all Joe, money is for spending. Difference is its in the garage and not the bank. Never thought i would buy a private reg plate, but have done just that. I can use two letter or three letter initials, and found a plate to match. So i thought, why not. Like you, my wife offered to pay half, well actually she transferred the funds, and i sent it back. So not selfish at all, I would put money on it that it makes Tracy very happy helping you. Tony
I have cracked it and told Tracy i have an ISA maturing later this year and its hers to do what she like with. Alough i already know she will save it or reinvest. But it makes me feel better. So i am not looking at bike till next year.
I’m a bit late to this thread @joe mc donald . Hadn’t realised you were changing your bike again. Your Tracy is truly a diamond mate. Moving to a Honda eh! I’m sure you will love it. Pity you weren’t picking it up as Northwich is also just down the road from me. It would have been terrific to catch up.
Hi Wessa, based in Prestatyn now, was Chester four years ago. Still go to the usual haunts. Broxton, Raven & J&S. Old Stores is popular now. A55 is only 10mins, Chester 30mins. With North Wales on my doorstep.
You are very well placed. Yep Broxton, Raven (Ma Bakers) and J&S are some of my regular stop offs. I have been the Old Stores a few times as well, the breakfast is good there.
Ah, you're a lucky man @joe mc donald, I still remember the phone call on a Friday afternoon at the end of June, that went, "where are you"? "I'm on the train dear". "What (TF), are you doing on a train"? Pennies were dropping heavily at the other end of the phone and she eventually twigged that I was off to buy the bike I briefly mentioned on Wednesday. It took a week to win her round, although, when one of my old biking mates turned up on the Saturday for a look, she did say it was a lovely bike. Not to me, of course. At least my Christmas card wished me many safe and happy riding miles. You have a diamond mate, it warms the heart to hear that story... My last bike... yeah, yeah.....
