Evening all, I purchased my new RS in June this year and covered 1500 odd amazing miles on this little weapon of a bike, coming from a 1290 Superduke this bike has amazed me in every way possible and really is the perfect B Road basher, better handling than most bikes I’ve ridden and total useable power, I’ve softened off the suspension a tad too which now allows for an easy 3 plus hours in the saddle with no issues to my boney ass, I do have one really big niggle and it drives me mad, it’s vibes thru the handlebars and mirrors, numb tingling fingers and pretty useless mirrors beyond 60 mph, I tried Evo-tech bar end weights which didn’t work but I have sourced some heavier bar ends that have slightly worked but I still feel the vibes at higher rpm, I also tried grip puppies too, has anybody tried any other solutions to dampen the vibes in the bars ? Any advice will be greatly appreciated
Hi I have the latest RS also and have zero vibration through the bars over 10,000 miles, one of my mirrors does vibrate above 70mph but strangely only one of them…. to be sure have you checked your wheels are perfectly balanced and your forks are set correctly? Even brand new bikes can have issues.
@MrD79 You need to check the tyres for squaring and alignment chain needs checking regularly for tight spots or seized links. Make sure all disc's are free and front forks are in order. Check swinging arm. All little checks but it does help. Especially a tyre that has squared of it is a very uncomfortable feel to a bike. Do let us know how you get on.
My mirrors are useless over about 50mph pretty much due to vibration - I can see shapes in them but no real detail! I don't feel any vibration through the bars though and my hands are fine..... I have a 2021 R, but most people I know with Striples say the mirrors are useless at any sort of speed....
You probably need to alter the natural frequency of the bars. You are on the right track by changing the bar end weights and extra weight might help if heavier weights are available? You might have to experiment by temporarily attaching more weight to see if it makes a difference. I suspect there will always be some vibration whatever you do?

Cheers for the advice, I will certainly add more weight, adding the heavy bars ends already has raised the rpm at which its worse, I’d like to increase a tad more weight to be in around the 100 mph marker as up to that covers most of my b Road bashing speeds anyways any blips above that are short lived around wales lol, there’s a company in America that supply really really heavy bar ends for race riders but over £100 shipped I could turn out a pair from stainless steel round bar for a lot less, il keep you posted
Funny you say that, I was thinking the same. I'd go around all the major fasteners and give it a thorough check for tightness. My 765 2019 vibes in the left mirror rendering it pretty useless, but I don't get any handlbar vibe issues in the hands.
You've already done the obvious things I was going to suggest, so how tight do you grip the bars and how thick are your gloves as if you're gripping them tightly with thin gloves that could make the vibes worse? Bike wise, could the throttle bodies be out of sync, a bit like carb balancing in the old days?
As the machine is still under warranty what does the dealer say? Bar end mirrors should give sharper images, but also add additional weight to the bar ends, which should help dampen the vibrations.
Cheers for your reply I spoke to the dealer they said it’s the nature of the bikes and they’d looked into 6 customers bikes and investigated 3 in detail but found no issues ♂️♂️♂️
I got some for my Blade from Pro Bolt that are pretty good, but obviously not sure how heavy you are looking to go!
Cheers fella I’ll have a butchers, my current heavy ones are about 300 grams each and they have helped push the vibes higher up the rev range, HVMP.com in America do some that come in at 500 grams each so I reckon they will help even more but well over a £100 pound shipped tho, if the bars were hollow I’d fill em with sand or lead as the 765 really is the perfect B Road bike
But the bars are hollow, it’s just that the threaded socket in the end of each bar is a permanent fixture. However the bars do have apertures in them for threading the wiring for the OE heated grips. I would suggest that you investigate the possibility of filling the bars with lead shot through these openings and sealing them with some expanded polystyrene just in case you need to empty them out at some later stage.
