Ooh dear your have seen them Hatty Jakes has nothing on these!!! There's a couple of younger ones but the rest are well into their 40's and older of course that makes them yo
Am in Bulgaria and it seems like any sweet young nurses are whipped off to serve in German hospitals same goes for Doctors Germany pays much more than they get paid here. Also being 66 myself that makes most of the nurses younger than me apart from a couple they are all short and rotund with grizzled cragy faces and not the best temperament. However if you saw a lot of the Bulgarian men they have to deal with it is no wonder. I try to be respectful and polite as after all its not their fault that I was injured over the years here when we had to deal with hospitals overall it has been a positive experience except for the one time not long after the Brexit thing when Mum fell and broke her arm the nurses on over the weekend were fine but a couple during the start of the week were downright rude and nasty so much so that Mum discharged herself.

@Plezier So sorry to hear of you mishap mate. And like all the patrons wish you a speedy recovery. And yes it sounds like you got of lightly thinking about it. I do hope your Duke turs up safe. But for now put all you efforts into getting well again.

No not yet will try asking at the local (Polski Trambesh) police station on Friday ... tomorrow ..... as it officers from there that came to the scene one of those spoke English but when I phoned them the officer did not speak English so means a personal visit. I expected them to visit me at the hospital to ask what happened I did manage to snap a photo of the back of the truck so have it's number.

just spoke to him and the bike is a mess seems the truck dragged us around and into the unmade gravel track/road with it and sounds pretty wrecked. Pillion foot pegs and exhaust mounts sheared off tail wrecked tank is battered not mentioned seat am assuming headlight is smashed as instruments are shattered into tiny bits he will bring it over during the weekend.

It already sounds like a total loss tanks for a 2001 early production Dark Monster 620ie 5 speed with single disc are not common nor easy to find as I discovered when dealing with the rust in the tank when first got it the early tanks were steel with pump and filter internal along with fuel hoses. Regardless of anything else it would need replacement clocks, ignition switch, ECU and immobiliser to even think of getting running again. Possibly exhausts handlebar switch units oh the list just goes on and the costs ????????????????? DREADED.

Will get photos over the weekend go and insurance broker probably Monday there is something going on as Police have done report and did not happy when we asked for it and told us next week this is supposed to be done at the scene especially if someone is injured. The Police station has sides to it one of which KAT (traffic police) the officer the got to come and speak to us said we must come back to the KAT side then.

We will take the photos plus Hospital paperwork with bike documents and give to broker to sort out we tried to make/get the report but were denied.

Well she's back home and it might not be quite as bad as I was imagining but it is more than is affordable for me and of course as yet have no idea what insurance has to say meanwhile here are some photos

Think that is enough to give an idea all indicators are broken the throttle is broken, front brake complete handle bar assy needed. Bars are bent, front brake line damaged, instruments and everything to do with headlight is trashed, fuel tank it well dented one side trim missing the other is cracked at the mount.

Good news is that the wheels/tyres are ok the front rim has bit of rash marking in one place but that was there when I bought the bike.

Jeez that looks painful for both you and the bike. Thank God you are OK and live to fight another day, don't think the bike will though tbh. Now the insurance battle begins, good luck mate.
