    Thanks very much, Sandi. I really miss my TTR as well, but I'm trying not to allow myself to just take the path of least resistance (hence keeping a very open mind if I can). It's all quite exciting though :)

    Well, as mentioned on another thread I've now managed to swing my leg over a Multistrada V2, and I could certainly get both feet on the ground. If the low seat wasn't too plank-like I'd probably be able to flat foot it, so the next step, I think, is to take one out on a test.

    Markus did mention elsewhere that he would go for the V4 but I don't need the extra power (I never carry a pillion or load myself down with massive amounts of luggage) and can do without the extra 20kg of weight plus the slightly higher/bigger all round design. The 890 engine seems to be very highly acclaimed too, by virtually everyone who's reviewed it.

    I still think it may be bigger than I want in an ideal world, though.

    I rode with my wife the "normal" BMW R12 Nine T for 7.000 kilometres last year. It was cool to ride! ;)

    Good to know, Markus. Of course I owned a classic R9T for a year or two as well. Fantastic bikes.

    Oooh, that's a beauty, Tony! Have you test ridden one yet? Better to spend a bit more and get a bike you truly love. I did that with my Speed Triple RS which I've owned since 2018 and have no interest whatsoever in replacing it with something else. Please keep us posted! :heart: P.S. Love that color combo, too.:heart_eyes:

    I haven’t test ridden it yet, @Sandi T, but I certainly will. The colour reminds me of my former R9T ( Tangerine Dream), and I think it’s the only paint job it comes in right now.

    You certainly have taste!

    Back in the day I wanted the R90S in that colour scheme but University as a "mature" student necessitated a car to get to all my gear there and put paid to two wheels for decades.

    When BMW announced this tribute R12 Nine T, I really questioned my choice of bike, but my SC is a lot cheaper slower (safe licence and limbs) and still makes me smile every time I open the garage.

    The lead bike for the Chester DGR was one of these in that Tangerine colour, making me want one all over again (But I can't afford a second bike).

    If you can afford it you will make me very jealous.:cool:

    Thanks Rev, and I’m glad you like it too. Not much to dislike about it, really, although I’ve not yet tested it as yet.

    To be honest I’m not sure that I should be ploughing that much money into a second bike, but YOLO :p

    Or a Christian, which I am. But I always think of it as YOLO--on this planet. Which the way things are these days doesn't bother me that much. :rolleyes:
