I really look forward to your Rideout reports as the places you visit are not totally unreachable for me being In Wales and read with interest and bare in mind when deciding which way to head especially with your recommendations for bike friendly stop offs I think you and Helmut should have your own permanent thread for exactly these rides:p

A bit more spanner time tonight on the 765.

    20250908_175944.jpg

New front tyre installed, all brake calipers serviced and give it a once over.

    20250908_213443.jpg

Ooh that radiator feels wobbly.....what's this here?

It's always worth checking, and going over things, once cleaned up after a decent run. The bolt was well on it's way to freedom, no doubt once gone, it would've allowed the radiator to flex in the wind with potential damages to follow.

    Nipped up and sorted ;)

Today I've spent a good while popping down to stare at the bike in the garage...as it continues to rain (I will fully admit I am a fair weather rider) Only had the bike a week, and finally learning to love its wasp like scowl
I had the quickest of jaunts yesterday with a few photos thrown in, and hoping to have another tomorrow if the weather holds up!

I took my STRS over to York (A1 Triumph) this morning for its first annual service. I've never used them before, but a quick shout out for them. The Service Manager was very friendly and helpful and the bike was ready when they said it would be. They offered to lend me a courtesy bike, but I met up with a friend who lives in York and we went for a coffee in their Cafe, which is part of the same building. I usually do my own servicing, but as the bike is still under warranty and (I'm told) its virtually impossible for the home mechanic to reset the service light on the post 2023 Triumphs, I took the plunge. There was no major work done or required, just the basics, but they did a good job and I'm more than happy with the results. Nice one A1. :)

Early bird catches the worm

Checked forecast last night and this morning. Rain forecasted from 13.00.
At Seaways just after 10.00 then back home on a convoluted back road route by around 13.00.

Roads were wet in places but we didn't suffer a drop of rain.:)

    Smug, moi :joy:

I did about 170 miles around the Cotswolds today before I head into work tonight, getting a few Bike and Brew passport stamps....I was meant to be on my Blade as I had new tyres fitted today, however I also discovered a leaking fork seal :(.

Today I installed a set of Up and Over bar risers from Motown. Easy job. Then I went for a check ride for an hour. Found that the risers did exactly what I was hoping for - higher bar position and closer to me for a more upright posture. The bonus was improved handling feel! Mo “Betta”!

Bummer on the fork seal, @Mrs Visor. Hope you've gotten that fixed up. How many Bike and Brew stamps do you have now?!

The person that I always use is on holiday, so will talk to them when they get back about the forks. A friend of ours has asked if I want to use his business unit to take the forks out myself, but I don't have the confidence I don't think, although always used to do all my own car servicing so am not mechanically useless.....bikes are just more daunting to me!

I pretty much leave it to the pros...and that I am definitely NOT! That said, I've not even met you in person but have no doubt that you could definitely do most anything you put your mind to! Including motorcycle mechanical work.

I just found this bike on Craigs List and bought it yesterday from a nice couple in Spokane, Washington. 2021 Speed Twin w/ 2340 miles on the clock in perfect condition. This is my favorite color combo of the Speed Twins. Test rode a new one and simply do not care for the single clock offset in the front. Love the vintage look of this bike. Put 100 miles on her today in Montana and zero regrets- but not selling my T120 either!
