    Hi,

Search the forum for the answer, but as usual I failed again!

Anyway, I have a new (2025) T120 with waxed cotton panniers. I am going to source rain covers.
What treatment does one do to the waxed cotton?
I assume the leather part is treated as per my walking boots - a wax derived from Bees Wax.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi RB, I think your answer would be a camping/outdoor shop, or Google.

On my panniers I cleaned the cotton with a stiff brush to remove dirt and applied a coat of Barbour Wax Thornproof dressing.

I found that Barbour treatment stuff difficult to apply evenly when reproofing their coats years ago. Using a hair dryer on the surface after application smooths out the coating. ( pun intended ).

Back in the 60s I had a Belstaff Jacket. I put in the oven to warm it up before applying new wax. ONCE!
    Smelt like an oil tanker!
