Oh OK...from the showroom, to a lucky snap on the road

The regular 1200 RS feels much more upright than the 1050 RS – and this RX is certainly more aggressive, but it reminds me of the 1050 RS riding position.

It's actually surprisingly comfortable, but you do have to remember to keep the weight of your wrists from time to time. The seat is raised at the back and pushes you forward. Compared to the 1200 RS, Triumph say "bars are 69mm lower and 52mm further forward; pegs raised by 14.5mm and set back by 25.5mm".

I've found it to be a totally engaging ride - it appears to go exactly where you point it (very helpful) and the active suspension just does its thing in comfort/normal mode – sport is too hard for most of the country roads where I live...but you can mix and match how the modes are set up.

It's possible to change settings (even compression and rebound) while riding but other than turning down the engine breaking a fraction, I've not experimented that much (yet). It's honestly wasted on me, but all the tech means it does normal riding really, really well.

Didn't like any of the 1200 Speedys from the pictures but looking round both variants in Youles on Friday I have changed my mind:grinning: I love that RX yellow! My 1050 RS is way too much as it is but I could be tempted.
All that technology though, I reckon it would be easy to make it completely unrideable if you don't know what you're doing!

Me and tech don’t get on…. I’ve only switched through the engine map menu twice on the 1050 RS.
Found the one I like ( Road I think it is …) and left it there….!

The tech on the new one would be largely irrelevant to me as well..!

I’m sure you’ve got some tax free retirement funds to spend @dawsy…
