Just read 2 articles in today’s Times.

    1st Article

Yogesh Alekari had ridden almost 15,000 miles across Asia and Europe on his KTM 390 Adventure before thieves struck at Wollaton Park, Nottingham

He had ridden through China, the central Asian steppe and Russia without a hitch. It was a journey covering almost 15,000 miles and one that Yogesh Alekari had completed on his trusty KTM 390 Adventure motorbike.

Yet when he arrived in Britain, his round-the-world epic on two wheels would come to an abrupt halt.

At Wollaton Park in Nottingham his bike and all his possessions were stolen in broad daylight. In a sign of the country’s international reputation, Alekari said he had been “warned about the UK”, but said he felt safe outside London.

The adventurer called the police but said officers were unable to attend the park, which is managed by Nottingham city council. Like so many victims of crime in the UK, he was sent only a crime reference number to pass to insurance companies.

    2nd Article

Graham Linehan, the Father Ted writer was detained by armed officers at Heathrow. Linehan revealed that he was arrested on Monday by five armed police officers on arrival at Heathrow airport over three tweets about transgender activists.

So 5 Armed police arrest a guy for posting 3 tweets, but all they can do for the motorcyclist who has his bike and all his possessions stolen is give out a crime number.

I've spent 24 days in the US, and when you watch the news ( on a vary rare occasion I might add ) this country's name has, and is being dragged through the mud by our glorious politicians. Our so called reputation is down in the gutter.
Regardless of your political beliefs, this situation can not go on, I firmly believe that if this carry's on, this country is heading for civil war.

I've said the same to my friends in related discussions. If it continues as is, then I can clearly see civil war on the horizon.

I can only agree with all the above comments. I really am worried about what future my seven year old grandson and his generation will have.

The only reason I'm happy that my daughter married a New Zealander - my grandchildren have had a healthy, active childhood.... and the chance of a better future down under.

Of course, we may not be privy to the actual true context of whatever the media spews.......and may also be victim of the vicious cuts made to UK policing.....

There was footage of the bike theft on ITV news last night. It showed the bike being ridden away escorted by two scrotes on scooters.
I would gladly chip into a crowd funding thingy to get the poor chap sorted.

@sprintdave Would have done mate. But from tomorrow morning i will have only one bike left. And like someone said. I think @ajc400 i will only have one bike and money in the bank for rainy days. But a good idea on your part. And who knows if it is legitimate or just someone thinking we British are soft touch's and will rush there with cash.

To make matter worse (if possible) this guy posted his tweets whilst in the USA and is an Irish citizen. So our Starm Toopers are arresting foriegn nationals for their actions outside of this country!

But what is positive is the Met Police Commissioner calling for the government to change legislation and is immediately reviewing the way the Met deal with offences that fall within the existing legislation. With the way it stands, police are damned if they do, damned if they don't, so the government urgently needs to take action to ensure that the law is fit for purpose.

UK has gone full leftist retard as we call them here in the states. Sure hope you blokes figure it out and fast, your country depends on 3 things to stay alive: secure Borders, common language and culture. Sounds like you have neither. In the states, Trump, love him or hate him, has secured our borders. But the big cities all across the country are FIRMLY run by leftists scumbags and thus they are actively undermining the things that would make America great. Sad days across the globe in this regard.

However, we all know that Twatter knows no boundaries. My understanding is that he posted details of an online "adversary" including address to his half million or so followers. Why do you suppose he did that? And of course being arrested at an airport means almost certainly being arrested by armed officers. It was about location, nothing more. As V told us, it's about perspectives. :)

And that adversary is a trans activist and disgraced police officer who is just out to stir the sh1t. Plod should'nt be reacting to someone who says they're "offended" the way they are. Perhaps if I told them that Starmer offends me, they'll go and lock him up.

You do know the arrest at Heathrow was for inciting violence, not just feelings, against a background of harassment and criminal damage which passed the CPS two stage legal test for prosecution?

I am not saying that I think that the legislation is fit for purpose, but what makes me sad and angry in equal measure is this whole ridiculous "hurty words on social media" narrative that so many people have decided to blindly trot out at every opportunity. It's lazy and divisive.
