Don't start on bike jackets lol,I'm a collector, I have a cupboard full of them. Vanson, belstaff, ex police bks etc, that and models from Aero, eastman, langlitz,,think I have posted before pics of my boot collection, like 10 pair of daytona, altberg, and everything else. Madness
Um, yeah, you and I must be related, @Pedro1340. I rationalize my jacket and boot collection (and three bikes) by saying that at least I don't have planes or boats or collect expensive watches.
@Sandi T What about Cars. Really as long as your clothing is good with protection and you feel comfortable in it. Then it's fit for purpose.
Hmmm, yeah, cars. I forgot about those, Joe. Yep, you're right about clothing, though--protective and comfortable are definitely the two most important things. I have to admit that running a somewhat close third is how the clothes and gear look and how they match / fit with the style of the bike.
Oh this is such a me post I have a leather for three seasons & a Revit mesh for the three days a year that warrant it my personal choice is a Richa Daytona (in brown of course) great for everything except hot sticky days The Revit is black & grey - pretty much all I can tell you about it except it was the only piece of clothing that survived the transition between SV650 & Bonneville, & only gets dragged out for the odd hot day treat trip to Morelli’s for an ice cream
Just purchased a Speed Twin and a textile armored Triumph jacket. It's comfortable and offers good protection I think. Looks cool also. But it's not that warm. Anyone have any information on a separate liner I could buy to wear under it? I know there are those here who would say this is a great opportunity to expand my jacket collection.....ha
I have a really cheap and thin windproof running jacket I wear as an extra layer under jackets or leathers, it's really effective.
I've been thinking about getting something a bit more casual than my textile jacket for coffee or lunch ride outs on a sunny day, but my age is getting in the way - at 72 I just feel too old for a denim jacket, especially as I wear denim bike jeans - double denim would definitely not be "me" - and I feel far too old to be sporting a hoodie too, so there is my dilemma!! There are a few options out there which have the elbow/shoulder/back protection I'd still like to have, canvas type materials, or hoodies with a zip off hood, but nothing is jumping out so far, even at some of the insane prices I've seen. Oh well, it'll be for next summer anyway, so plenty of time for more shopping!
Yep, right sort of thing..... but no armour! I like the Roadskin Munro armoured shirt - might wait to see their stall at the Motorcycle Show, they have an armoured hoodie with a removable hood too..... I also saw a few neat jackets/shirts at Sportsbikeshop recently, although they are not on the website, so maybe end of line.....

@ajc400, what about something like this?? I really like rolling sand design jackets. I have several myself. Several different styles available including ones that are not so traditional. https://rolandsands.com/products/pismo-riding-shirt?variant=45912595169554
Being a retro bike it needs a retro jacket usually leather a bit distressed would be best or for warmth and weather protection a waxed belstaff looks a treat on the Bonnie's and the likes
