This took me a second. It confused me. I assumed Tesco's is a popular market over there - ok. However, over here "Trolley" is a wheeled, electric passenger coach that runs through urban areas on rails and is powered by overhead, charged lines. Yep many years ago we had them. A bus driven electrically via a pantograph taking overhead electricity. A trolleybus.
The ones on rails we call trams. As above, we had trolley buses which used a pantograph to connect to overhead electric cables and drove on the road.
So a flag on a lamp post on an everyday street could cause a distraction to a passing motorist but having huge advertising LED signs next to a motorway is perfectly fine.
