Any Trident 660 owners or experience on the forum? Anything to watch out for?

It is on my cousin's list of possible next bikes, downsizing (slightly!) from a Street Triple 765, although it might just be to have a new bike when her husband and I have got new toys this year!!

Never had an issue on the 660 Trident. Done 10K km now. Never used a drop of oil.

The deed is done, my cousin bought her new Triumph Trident today!! New stock, a few accessories being fitted, but it shouldn't be long until it is ready..... :)

My cousin loved her 765, I think it was just time for a change (or maybe just because her husband and I had new bikes!), and the Trident had a bit more upright riding position and maybe a bit easier to flat foot.

I'm not sure how the weights compare, but I think she felt it was easier to move around.... maybe the weight is carried a bit lower.

Anyway, that's the story as far as I know!

The weights of the bikes are pretty much identical I think, the Street does feel quite top - heavy though when you move it around. Quite a few people seem to swap their Streets for Tridents - being a hardcore Street fan I couldn't imagine it :p but the Trident does seem a great bike and certainly does look nice (I really like the Slippery Sam tribute, but they do some great colours I think). I'd certainly miss the horsepower though, it's a big difference.

That was the worry I had I was going to go for a new trident but after a few litre sports bikes I thought the same that it would be a noticeable drop so I did it gradually and went for the 900 Tiger but now I'm seeing all these Bonneville's yes I'm blaming you Tony I am getting the itch to add one to my garage now but I fancy a pre injection model or an America or legend :D

I do like the idea of a relaxed day out type bike to just cruise along and enjoy. I can do that on all of mine of course, but they do egg you on a bit o_O.

I'd probably spend all my time on the rear wheel with the weight and size difference :p.

@Mrs Visor Not taking this further. Helmut might come hunting for me. And i thought you spent a lot of time on the back wheel anyway.
