But with the immense weight saving acheived, won't the bike fall into left handers easier than right handers now making it unstable?
Oh I hadn't thought of that, what have I done? I'll find out this evening on my short ride out, I'd better take it easy 'til I get used to it
I bought a pair of biking boots made out of leather for usage in warm weather. They are also waterproof. After the first about 1.500 kilometres of riding with them I am very satisfied. BUT: Due to the bad weather conditions and the poor quality of our local weather forecasts I was able to test the waterproofness of them. Water which runs down from complete rain sucked bike jeans and by the support of additional worn socks is kept by the boots inside. No water drops outside and no additional water comes from the outside into the boots.
@Mrs Visor: You can order them online with a price under €150.- I found at my BMW-dealer nearly the same pair of boots with a BMW logo for more than the doubled price!
I wear similar boots, US Jungle Boots bought from an Army Navy store (new so probably copies) and they are great. Can I suggest you take the laces around your ankle and tie them to the outer side of the boot to avoid loops near where they can catch on footrests or levers. There are also ways of tying them as a concealed bow, but I never quite mastered that!!
@ajc400: I always put my laces into my boots when I wear them. Just push them between the socks and the inside of the boot. That's it for me. No accidentally problems will occur.
Hi Mark, i have a Tiger 900 windshield deflector. Triumph part no. A9708775. And a headlight guard kit, Triumph part no. A9830079. Both new and unused in original packaging. T.
Hi Tony my T9 already has a givi slightly bronzed higher screen on it so this was just a see if it makes any difference but I will probably not use it after trying it because the Oxford cover only just fits as it is so daft purchase really I've already added a headlight guard one of the first things I bought thanks anyway screen extension only £8.90 anyway not a lot of money
Hi Tony is the use of a link pipe needed for this particular can and do you need to get lugs welded on the pipe for springs
Hi Mark, the can is bike specific. All you need is in the box, can, heat guard, clamp and gasket. Nice bit of kit, should be for the price. Right hand screw on heat guard goes to a bracket welded on to the clamp....clever stuff. The can is titanium, with carbon end cap and heatshield. Mine is a fraction loose at the moment, i am putting that down to the used gasket. I have a new one ready to fit, but suffering from sciatica for a while, will have to wait. Hope this info helps. T.
