Poolehall has really gone all in, even sorting the car park for motorcycles. The last two cafes were really nice, I go through Rhayader all the time, but very rarely stop. I will again now though for this cafe for a change from my usuals.

This was last night, Barton bike night.
Two 765's and a Kawasaki H2 went for a ride over and nosey which is about a 120 mile round trip after work.
    Here's a few pics.

And here's a non Triumph, two stroke theme pic collection from the same event.
Did I mention I like two strokes

    A pretty tricked up elsee

That was a lovely condition 3MA TZR with the reverse cylinder configuration, carbs at the front, exhausts on the back.

And what teenage dreams were made of, back in the day.

This was for me, the star of the show

    20250702_191246.jpg

Yes it's a 2012 Yamaha R6 but not just any old bike, this one has a trick up it's sleeve

The guy stood next to it is the owner and builder and I had an interesting chat with him after.
The finish isn't a vinyl wrap, except the hugger, but is actually a slightly copper coloured special chrome paint, all £5k of it

    Plus it's MAGIC!!!

The guy has created a wonderful idea that many kids last night were totally in awe about. Down the side of his bike boots is a magic wand :heart:
He gives the child instructions, wave it this way, wave it that. If you do it right, a clockwise wave starts it up etc.

I have a video but not sure how to upload it here.

With a wave of the wand, the lights come on, another wave and the engine starts.
Point to the sky and it will rev up.
Point to the floor and it stops.
    DaDa

The kids faces were a picture

    Screenshot_20250703_081001_Gallery.jpg

Note the magic wand in the kids hand :joy:

And I didn't realise that the police were now using Yamaha Tenere 700's

A good multipurpose bike for catching scroats on, especially ones that think they can just nip over the fields to get away.

Today I went to meet three friends (two riders, one pillion) for coffee at HR4K and then we had a little ride out and I showed two of them Bringsty Vintage Cafe, which they approved of very much :). Not many miles, nothing exciting to write about, but great company in this lovely sunshine, so very much a lovely day.

Earlier in the week it was hotter than a hot thing (30+ deg.) but today was comfortably warm at low to mid 20's so I went for a nice ride around the Norfolk coast. Now have 1043 miles on the clock and really liking my new Speed Twin 900.

So a rideout with a friend and his group today, and I don't know any of the others so not sure what I'm letting myself in for :dizzy:

Is it just me, paranoia running with unknowns, or could it be fun?
    Let's wait and see.

    20250704_080907.jpg

Awaiting their arrival at the start point.
    X3 Kawasaki sx1000, x1 BMW and x2 765rs including mine.

A nice run up to Hawes for breakfast.

    Screenshot_20250704_210434_Maps.jpg

Good food in there, our group of six varied between the full English breakfast and beans on toast. They all looked good and sensible prices, mine was spot on.
From here we went to Sedbergh, a quick fuel fill up for the x2 765's, the sx1000's have 20 litre tanks, and we're off again to Tebay.

Then across country to Warcop, Kirby Stephen, Nateby, Muker and ice creams here at the Wensleydale ice cream parlour.

Plenty of flavour choices here, apparently Blackcurrant and Liquorice is the bees knees but it wasn't on so we had two very disappointed chappies, maybe next time.
Mine was a Stem Ginger in a twist cone and it was good, although the honeycomb nearly won :yum

The leader did a good route and pace, despite riding a German ditch pump :joy:
A great group of guys, 220 mile round trip and a nice day out.
Obviously the 765 did the job and performed spot on so it got a bit of tlc with a wash and blow-dry when it got home:heart_eyes:.

Finding out the Nightstorm battery is on its last legs, nearly stranded at work 100 miles from home. Luckily someone randomly appeared with one of these small jump packs. I guess I'll be battery shopping later. To be fair I suspect it's the original battery, I've had it since '18 and it's a '15 plate so it's not done bad.

So today I decided we'd go out on the 900st, the wife would pick where

How about the Giant Bradley day?

The what, I've no idea what you're talking about!

    And so we set off.
Market Weighton isn't too far away so I picked a maximum minor road, dog leg route to get there.
Once arrived, helmets locked onto the bike to avoid carrying about and a drink was very much needed in this heat.
We called at the local scout stand for a pot of tea, the wife nearly flipped mid tea sip when she saw the next table :joy:

    20250713_143836.jpg

The event was very well attended with all the usual and the bonus was the " Two brothers stunt team" were doing a stint in the car park.

    20250713_151019.jpg

    20250713_153650.jpg

    20250713_152111.jpg

We then did a very convoluted return route and found some great unknown areas, only 25 mile or so from home.

    20250713_164944.jpg

A real steady plod today with no rush, the dash confirmed it showing 70.9mpg :)

Nice little ride out to Wells-next-the-Sea for a sausage sub at the Beach Cafe then on to Hunstanton. The indicated fuel consumption compensates for the small 12L fuel tank so the range is still decent.

Well was up early this morning and off to the shop for the MOT and service along with a connectivity module fitted which I didn't need in the end as was already one fitted but was turned off completely as it wasn't showing on the dash and no Bluetooth option available but after checking over reset and updated and all working even paired with my Chinese tough phone and even cheaper headset so money saved but had the brake fluid changed as moisture showing on the test meter I've never bothered in all my years of owning vehicles no matter how long I've owned them have I ever bothered to have this done but on advisement moisture in the fluid can cause damage to the abs system which never was an issue with straight through calipers and master cylinder set up another plus was the technician complimented my Tiger saying it's the best 900 he's ever rode so well happy :):)
