Hi Marco, I have had the Cool Cover on my Multistrada for nearly a year now and it is a really good piece of kit. It adds about 8mm to the seat height (compressed down to 5mm when sat on. It is all day comfortable when riding and allows a good flow of air which helps a lot in the warmer conditions on top of which it drains well in the rain so no more pooling of water around the nether regions. https://coolcovers.co.uk/
not for my triumph. my 1997 buell cyclone is my replacement bike for when my old 1972 bonneville is undergoing yet another modification, but the last time i had it out it blew oil out the breather and dripped it onto the pipes. a lot. never experienced that and didnt know what was going on. the harley dealership was no help. wouldnt work on a buell, and wouldnt work on anything over 20 years old. fuck em. harley davidson incorporated doesnt need my business, clearly. anyway, i investigated, and it turns out its a common problem with the post-1984 evo cylinder heads-- the PCV umbrella valves get old and stiff, and oil accumulates in the rocker boxes, and then drips out the air filter. so i bought some gaskets and new umbrella valves, and swapped em out. i was encouraged because the old ones were way stiff compared to the new. so we ll see. didnt take any time. theres another better fix, which is to fit the later XB sportster rocker box covers with a real PCV valve, as opposed to little rubber flappers. i managed to snag two of those covers on eBay for no money at all, and if the new umbrella valves don t fix the oil issue, ill bring the buell into the twentieth century with some genuine INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE REAL PCV VALVES. which cost FIFTY DOLLARS EACH and require a simple grommet seal that all by itself costs TEN DOLLARS FOR EACH ONE. can you tell im pissed at harley davidson? i wont be buying a motorcycle from them anytime soon. anyway, tomorrow is the day, for whatever.
My 1992 fxdc custom did the same once it was around 10years old, harley dealership never did get it sorted. I sold the bike at 25years old.Biggest lump of shit i ever owned.ps,if you look close you can see the rag i would stuff into the air intake to catch the oil .
I purchased a small table for camping on the bikes, it comes in lots of bits, so actually had to read the instructions to put it together for the first time .
