Was on a ride out yesterday and as I'm in North Wales where do you go or rather where would you of gone called at the ponderosa while out and yes still closed and locked like a very quiet Christmas day all locked up and empty
@Mark TGR9 Yes was there about two years and it was a nice place. I usually go the the H Café Dorchester or Chris's café stoke in church Or the old favourite McDonalds like their coffee
Hi Joe yes I took a couple of pictures just to show how desserted and sad sight it is to see also I don't know if you or anyone else following this thread has noticed the condition of the pass on the way up its dire I get to thinking it's getting neglected to hopefully put us all off from riding up there but never mind I still got to ride my favorite bit of road ever The Nant Y Garth pass
Yes thank goodness for the likes of A&D firstly they made it awkward to park in Betws y coed putting bollards Up along the road in front of the cafeteria so forcing the Parking into the pay and display carpark opposite then the ponderosa I don't know why they couldn't leave the gates open at least for a bit of a break off the road and maybe a tea van could sneak it's way up there On a better note though to all that may not be aware that woods in abergele has reopened under new management of some of the old staff with being able to keep holding of the triumph service tools they have a few bikes for sale but early days yet they are using the Auto tow workshop at the moment for mot's but hopefully soon will have the license to complete in abergele
So disappointed the ponderosa has not reopened so looked for a place we could go for lunch and tried Finleys cafe in Llangollen and what a fabulous breakfast they served us....give it a try just opposite the turning across the river same road as ponderosa (not on the A5) lovely and clean and not long to wait.
Woods in Abergele are trading as Synchronised Motorcycles. They are taking on BSA franchise. Other cafes are Dragonfly cafe, on the A5 at Cerrigydrudion, White water cafe, Bala, watch the boats going down the rapids. And Lakeside cafe, Blaenau Ffestiniog. Hope this helps. Tony
Hi Tony is lakeside Cafe as you leave blaenau down a lane Yes Tony I've been to lakeside Cafe in blaenau when I went on a ride out with a Facebook group I was a member of but the chatter got a bit daft after a while and nothing really related to bikes
