    Hello

I picked up my 2023 Speed twin yesterday (my first Triumph! and this is my first post here so i hope i put it in the right section of the forum ) and it has the original Metzeler Racetec K3 tyres which are worn and need replacing.

I have used the Bridgstone Battlax S22 tyres on previous bikes and i really like them / trust them / am used to them etc etc.

However, I have heard it mentioned that due to the tight fit at the back / proximity of the right edge of the tyre to the chain on the Speed Twin 1200 the S22 may (despite being a 160 size tyre) be too wide and foul against the chain...

I wondered if anyone had actual experience of having tried them (or the slightly later S23) on the Speed Twin 1200 and could advise whether they are OK or not?

If not ill go for the Metzeler Sportec M9RR which presumably do fit

Thanks for any help / advice

    Dave

@Dave AP Welcome to the family. I just fitted some to a 2010 Bonneville and they are fine. Do tap the upload a file button and show us all the bike.

S22s fit fine no issues, the bike will sit slightly lower that it does with the K3s, the S22s also give better mileage, for the difference in cost I would consider the S23s, I have been mightily impressed with them, the RRs where my go to tyre prior to fitting these that I got on a great deal.
