Hi all .. newbie here , I’m riding a 2004 rocket since new , I’m looking for help here from people who’ve experienced or know how to solve a problem with my speedo , on restarting after winter storage my clocks are only doing a sweep after starting the bike and not at ignition, then I noticed my tacho meter was resetting to zero each time I started up , and then yesterday my speedo just stopped working but stays lit up , I would appreciate any help in where to start with this problem.. many thanks Mike

I’ve just put a new battery on and had a service , I know this is a stupid question, but where do I find the earth points to check? .. I’m going to lift the tank later and look at all the joining blocks ect , I’ve looked at the fuses earlier and all seem ok .. many thanks for your help !

@Mike Scard Welcome to the family. Hope you get it sorted soon. when you do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show it of. Also a picture of the clocks and faults sometimes helps jog peoples minds.

A new battery proves nothing, have you a voltmeter?
12.7volts plus should be the answer. Any less it needs charging.

Easiest way to identify the earth's is to start at the battery. Follow the negative wire to the frame etc and check carefully for corrosion and tightness. Any doubt disconnect and clean then refit.

I would like to thank you all so much for your useful help !! .. I took on board every thing that was advised and this morning done what eldon had told me , plus I took all of the relays out and sprayed with wd40 as well as earth terminals , let it run for half hour , no change so decided to ride to the next town to see if a Honda garage had an OBD scanner.. on the journey my speedo came back , and when I stopped to go in the Honda garage I tried once more to start her up and yesss the light had gone out !!! So one happy chappie here I can continue on my journey .. once again thank you all so much !! It gave me hope … Mike
