In an effort to rectify some issue my husband and his friend cut the wire above the clutch cable on the clutch perch on my 2013 Tiger 800XC ABS. Since then I have a few issues as mentioned above. At one point I somehow found an article stating that wire has multiple purposes, and I deduced it was likely my problem. However, I can no longer find that article, and I cannot find anywhere what that wire is called. Microfiche does not even show it. Can anyone enlighten me? Much appreciated for any expertise you can share on my particular bike!
@MotoRider111 Not sure if you have sorted the problem yet. But the silly boys cut the clutch lever switch that runs in line with things like the side stand switch among others. Its a wonder it even starts at all
As Joe has suggested, the clutch switch is part of the starter lockout circuit (clutch switch, side stand switch and neutral switch) which prevents starting the engine in gear with the clutch out or riding off with the side stand down.
