I have just traded in a zx10r for the above vehicle . I realise it's not as quick but the bike seems slower than I expected. It has only done 800 miles to date (I am not first owner) so wondered if these engines are quite tight to start with and need a bit more running in. Or, are there any recommended upgrades to improve the performance . Handling overall is great and it's very comfortable. Thanks

Pop it back to the dealer to be sure, but I suspect that if you have gotten used to revving your kwacker then it may take some getting used to, but once you have you'll have smiles from ear to ear. Welcome

I have been out for a longer ride today and you may be right. It needs more beans than the Zx but then it does really go and sounds superb. Handling is top notch too. I will still check with dealer but hopefully it's just a bedding in time

    Hi Wealdy,
I too have the 94r, from new.
Cant say mine seemed tight at first, but i was running it in as instructed, and never gave it the beans.
ive nothing to compare it to, but more than happy with mine, loads of torque low down.
Mine came with the arrow cans and map, other than that, performance wise, standard.
Had the ohlins set up professionally, which made a big improvement.
Just changed both sprockets for acceleration, but to be honest originally it would lift the front in 1st and 2nd on throttle alone, now it will in 3rd too. bit pointless swapping them, but i like tinkering.
Im a big old fella of 18st so maybe use the above as a guide line as to what yours will do, or wont.

Went from a blade to mine and like you it felt flat. Just ain't got that kick in the pants, although riding with my mate on his panigale we still crack on. Lot of it comes down to how smooth it is to, not gonna spit ya off but I find myself being quite aggressive with it now to compensate lol

I am going to get more miles under my belt before making any changes. Might look at getting the ohlins set up but feels ok currently apart from real bumpy roads. Does anyone have a quickshifter fitted? I am of to Germany in 4 weeks and will do a few laps of the ring so will be interesting to see how it handles a bit of track work. Thanks for all the feedback folks

Someone has a quick shifter for sale, had it fitted and couldn't get on with it. Sorry I have forgot who but it on the forum somewhere.

I thought the R94 had Ohlins as standard

As you do more miles i am sure you will get too like the bike more, i thought my Speed Triple was a little underpowered until i went out with my mates.

Best check with Triumph dealers. RE quickshifter.
I ordered one for my 94r, when it came, couldnt get it to fit, they sent me one for a 2016 model. Ours is not.
    Different electrics.
phoned them back and they clarified triumph do not make a quickshifter for the 94r.
    other options are
