Rideout Ride up to Buxton meeting places

The time is getting closer and as some of you are aware I have been working on meeting points and routes for us that live south of the venue.


Meeting points are and rough timings are

Dave leaving Newhaven @7:15 and at Buckbarn macD RH138LW @8;15, (32mls)

leave BB McD @8:30 arrive at Loomies GU32 1JX via a272 @ 9:30, ( 40mls 60 mins)

leave Loomies @10:15 and arrive McD Oxford, OX2 0JR via alton,basingstoke @11:40 (65mls 90 mins)

leave McDOx @12:00 and arrive Lime Kilns LE10 3ED via Banbury,southam and brinklow @13:40 (61mls 100 mins) Lunch!?!

leave Lime Kilns @14:30 and arrive at Pub SK17 9QJ via ibstock, Sudbury, ashbourne @ 16:00 (64mls 100mins)

maybe make a decision at Ashbourne to go to the pub straight up the A515 or divert from Ashbourne and go have tea at Matlock Bath, see how the saddle sores and backs are.

Timings are not exact but give an idea, routes avoid motorways, meeting points have petrol stations nearby.

Anyone else wants to meet up post which location, I will put detailed routes up shortly if some one fancies joining for a leg.

Really laugh out loud funny to think of us "haulin' Ass" to this blast from the past.

 

I'm 55 mind off so looking at times it will be Wednesday to make it a longer day out for me that's when I hope you have a ride out planned (fish & chips ) optional

 

Maybe you could meet up with rooster and ride together!

 

Yes that had passed my mind. The Services at J2 of the M42 would be a good spot - Ade?

 

We can fix up a time nearer to the date.

 

I see the post code for the lunch stop at Lime Kilns is outside the Bengal Chef.

 

I see, the pub has the same post code. So the pub it is then.

 

I'm beginning to think the Bengal chef is more fitting

 

I wouldn't of minded a day out but unfortunately or fortunately whatever your view I will be in London for a few days.

Loomies to Oxford

Oxford to Lime Kilns

Lime Kilns to Ashbourne

From there we might go straight to pub or go via Matlock Bath depending on how people feel.

I will post timings later but due to Biglads ferry change we might be leaving Buckfast Barn at 8 to get to Loomies around 9 for breakfast and leave there about 930-9:40.

Let me have a look at map tonight and I'll find you sommat between Oxford and line kilns where we can pick you up. As It was yourselves and HT and FT that were meeting at lime k we can find somewhere.
We'll still stop there for lunch.
