Hi picked this 2014 America beauty up this afternoon, I rode it home approx 30-miles absolutely loved it, the best bit is it had only done, wait for it 525miles from new. The main reason for the purchase is for her "indoors" to ride pillion, after selling our Canam Ryker Rally last year and the Newchurch not really suitable for her with no back support and a standard seat. .
I really like that bike. Not my usual thing, although l rode a Road King in NZ, but that would be just the dog's knob for me and the wife. Not a Triumph model l'm familiar with, got to say. All the best with it
Nice find! It looks like the previous owner got all the aftermarket bits on it you would have put on yourself. I have said before, I love my Speedmaster, but had Triumph still been making the America or the T Bird when I was shopping, I would have bought one of those two.
Great score! Looks brand new, not even run in yet. Also the previous owner had bought all the expensive Triumph accessories too. What's the back story, why so few miles?
Wow mate thats a cracker. Ive got 20,000 on mine and still runs as sweet as a nut. Great bikes hope you and the better half enjoy.
Well when I saw it advertised, with only 525 mile from new, I couldn't hardly believe it myself . luckily for me it was only about 30-odd miles away. So I arranged to view it, and the rest is history so to speak. Oh and I am the 3rd owner, so the story goes from the second owner that the 1st owner bought it as a toy and barely used it.? The guy I purchased it from, the second owner used it more but obviously not a lot more he informed me that he had only covered 70-miles since last years m.o.t. back in July. His reason for selling it he's approaching 80 in years and is finding it a bit to heavy now. In the couple of weeks that I've owned it I've clocked up over 150-miles just locally... Here's a more recent pic also.....(Oops don't know why there are 3-pics only meant to post one.???
@Kernow What a beauty. It is still a new bike. Lucky man and great spot. Thanks for sharing the fab pictures.
Thanks for the backstory. It's virtually a brand new bike!! ....... and it was only 30+ miles away from you. It was definitely meant to be yours. Now, enjoy putting some miles on it!
Yeah the mileage is now up to 700 in the first month of ownership, doing a couple of local ride-outs with "er-indoors" as my pillion. I would have clocked up more but since picking it up from the previous owner the weather has been pretty dismal to say the least, still never mind it's looking promising for tomorrow so fingers crossed......
