Part 1/2: Yesterday we did a 'Family Tour" with great weather conditions. We, my daughter with her friend, my wife and me, met at 1030. We started our tour to the Pre-Alps and crossed the mountainous area of "Wechsel", which leads up to about 1.000 m. After a short stop for some photos we went on from our province to two more provinces, via Hartberg, Pöllau and ended up at our dealer, www.gesslbauer.at, in Birkfeld. This weekend he is presenting for two days a great motorcycle exhibition. It was great there. Lots of never seen old-timers and many other interesting highlights. In the early afternoon we came safe back home and had really enjoyed our first 2025 tour. In the following some impressions. The bike of my daughter's friend, a Suzuki VStrom 650. My wife's Yamaha XSR 900. My "Stormi". All three of them together at a parking area on the "Wechsel". Entrance to the exhibition area in Birkfeld at our dealer. More visitors are showing up. A big tent for local food, drinks and a live band, which was planned to start their performance in the early evening. Trial bike performance area. First look of the oldtimer area. Many different variations of Puch bikes.
Part 2/2: This is a bike from "Miele". I was not aware, that they built motorcycles in the past beside washing machines. A really old Puch bike. Some nice coloured Puch bikes. A great Triumph from 1934. Our dealer started this bike and some guy of the local oldtimer club rode it for some minutes. It was an experience! Some smoke, great sound and interesting to watch the external moving parts of the engine. Some more "Puch" bikes. The extra hall for used bikes. Hundreds of them are available! Inside at he new bike section. Some Tigers and Bonnies. In the "Honda" area. My wife fell in love with her next year's bike. It will be a Honda Hornet 1000 or the SP variant. The famous "Dax" bike. Parking area for guest bikes. We even were able to enlarge our family situation, because my mother and father in law also showed up at the exhibition. In sum we had a great day and did 230 enjoyable kilometres on our bikes. This time I was able to "test" my "Stormi" on different types of roads. Alpine roads, A-, B-roads and in the highway. It performed great! I love to ride it.
What fun, @Markus! Thanks for all the great photos and impressions. I might look into getting one of those Dax bikes because I think it just might fit into our garage.
