Mine came with a fly screen, though never liked the look. I bought the speedo plastic back with the seal and fitted it yesterday. Fitting it was a bit of a pain, but you get there, thanks to YouTube and whatever. Took it for spin and immediately noticed the difference at about 50mph, wind in the chest. Will see how it goes, i wont be selling the screen i took off, just in case. Like the look and the feel of the bike, a bit better.
As @sprintdave said, it's your bike. I have a Powerbronze flyscreen on mine as it looks more "finished" to me and directs the wind blast from the base of my neck (I am not tall!), so that's right for me. If something different's right for you then that's all that matters.
I've got a Puig on mine. I'd have preferred it in body colour, but they only do black (at the moment). It does make quite a difference in terms of wind blast but only when you crouch down.
I went with the OEM screen, most screens from reputable companies look good, personal preference I would say. I only got mine just to finish the look.
I will see how it goes, just a phase im going through, probably Seems a lot of the naked bikes that are around these days have very little protection. Off the top of my head, the Tuono still has a noticeable amount of wind protection. Like i said, i wont sell the screen, for obvious reasons. Thanks all.
My Speed Triple had a factory screen which was okay, but after a long cold trip I wanted a tiny bit more protection and bought a basic Puig screen that's just a little taller. Still small enough so I don't get the buffeting that's so common with medium size screens, but just tall enough to get most of the wind off of my chest. Screens are always a crap shoot in terms of effectiveness without producing buffeting and turbulence. I'd rather go naked with smooth air than a bad screen that knocks me all over the place.
I have the Puig, as well. I had it painted to match Carnival Red but it wasn’t an exact match. Sucks!
