I've got heated grips. I'm not sure if they do a heated seat for the STRS.

Thanks, hopefully the weather will be warming up in the next few weeks (don't bet on it John...) I do have heated (rechargeable battery powered) socks which with the heated grips, help keep the cold at bay, but I might get one of those for the Guzzi. :)

If you get it from the Sportsbike shop, they price match. If you don't like it then you can send it back no questions asked. They used to have it at £66 but for some reason they put the price up again, but as I said they will price match, so if I were you I'd buy it from them. I get all my gear from them, and I've never had a problem.

Glad you got you on the bike, @johne! Even with that "Low Air Temp" caution. My hubby always says that any little trip becomes an adventure when you do it on a motorcycle! :)

13th Feb is a sad day, my Kermit Green Street Triple finally got written off by the insurers, and for a pittance of what it's worth following an accident on 16th December where yet another car driver stated "sorry I didn't see you"

I guess a bright green motorbike ridden wearing a hivis, a bright green helmet on a blue sky, sunny day with 4 front facing lights must be 'invisible'

For context, I was passing a junction that they wanted to turn into and they turned their driver side headlight into my right foot resulting in 14 fractures all to my foot

    HX57ATK - it's dead, Jim

Beautiful! That's a terrific bike. Can you share a few details, please @evilsim? Both about your bike and about where the show was. I see Route 66 on the trophies but don't know where (or what) Blackwater is. What was the event?

Buggerising about trying to work out where the short cones we've banged up can sit and still keep the centre-stand on the Bonnie ... though I'm not really worried as it can be a bit of a prick to use (and it's weight) !

Anyone else had bother getting these water cooled bikes up on the stand, it seems as if the angles are a little out on mine, it tends to fight me just as it should roll over and want to fall away from me ?
    Or maybe that's life when you're shortarsed ? o_O

Was all ready for Wednesday's "Old Speedway Pricks" monthly ride, 9:30am, hottest day yet, ( it's summer here ! :p ) shirt, light jacket, and sweat .. pushes button, click .. eh ? again .. half-hearted almost ? again ... click, click .. lotsa words mum never liked, and back in garage !
Batteries ok, so just cleans terminals, fittings, etc, all seems ok, tightens everything in sight, wanders off for coupla hours ... wanders back, pushes button, cough, cough... brrrrrmmmm ???? :).
Heads off, does about 40 miles or so .... 150k down the motorway home, (just needed to give battery a good charge sir .. the ole just in case excuse) ... everything fine, parks up :grinning:................ checks it a few hrs later, perfect.... BUT, discovers that when the key is removed after the steering lock is activated, it can be removed without the one click back being necessary, therefore leaving the running light and taillight on, and ... I'd obviously done that in brilliant sunlight, walked out, shut the electric door without looking and spotting those lights were still on .... will check from now on ?????

Has anyone had this, or known someone else that has had this happen ... definitely caught me ???? o_Oo_Oo_O

I haven't done it, but I think a fair few people fall foul of it, based upon posts on a Street Triple group I go on sometimes....
