People ! Stop preying on my betty ! Ain't dead nor abandoned anymore ! (you're not the first one to ask). My help and advice is available for any Graphic Design or photography need !
Hi guys ! A little bit of news, always in the perspective of sharing my experience. First above all sorry for the delays in answering or posting, or simply taking part fo the forum, without a bike (I'll explain), without much spare time, I honestly don't always thinking of swinging by the forum to see the news. So where are we with this write-off ? The bike has been fully paid for. I tried to grab a few extra bucks to ensure to get the same deal I had previously but, unsurprisingly, the third party insurance would have none of it. Still, the full third party liability has been accepted, and I got a full refund, as stated previously which is nice. The thing is now to understand what happens to my policy. I'm literally ready to buy another bike, but will that play with my current insurance, as it is not the same one... I don't know. (it will be the same make, same model, but not the same vehicle.... do they issue a new policy ? Do they update the existing one ? ) On a different front, I also now dispose of lawyers, which will try to get me compensation for personal injury (hard sensitive lump in my arm, does anyone has any comment on that ? ), for trauma, loss of earning and all that. We'll see how that plays along... That one good thing of Carole Nash, you got legal cover... That's good. Here we are ! Any questions ? Any offers ? Someone knows someone who sells a t100 (t100 black) ?
well I 'm glad you got a reasonable settlement that you're happy with. Use your legal cover to get the compensation etc you need. I hate the compensation business as it gets abused but youre on a genuine case so go for it. The lawyers should want to go for as much as possible as they usually get a percentage. Did you claim for helmet and clothing? I believe your insurance will have to start again with, possibly, no refund of the old policy as you have claimed on it, but this should be part of your compensation claim. Also it might be more expensive due to the accident, even if its not your fault and the other party settled. someone may correct me on this. But let your hunt begin and good luck finding another
Damn... They better refund me my policy if they cancel it.... I'm not paying another 1600£ off my own pocket...
i would think they would just transfer the policy over to your new bike,it might depend on how quick you get another bike though, and they will no doubt charge you a "small" admin charge ..£1600! wow i'd be shopping around next year Sam
I tried my best @Dougie D but understand that -I have no garage -I'm a new rider -The bike has a cost of 6800 in new condition -As a foreign citizen I have no no-claim bonus what so ever So yeah. Uber expensive. No matter where I asked. And I did my fare share of money supermakets, money comparators and such.
on second thoughts Crispey might well be right, if you have had a right off claim you might well have to have take out another policy, i hope you can claim that as part of your compensation, your lawers will keep you right
I'm not sure what you mean by that mate... I'm not eligible at all for no claim bonus... ( Thx @steve lovatt )
You need to find out if the insurer will continue your policy Sam. I've had it continued in the past but I've also had the opposite happen as well.
Another post to update on how things are going with Carole Nash. They charged me 15£ to replace the vehicle ( a 2014 T100 ) by a new one ( a 2015 T100 Black ). So it was kinda easy and the bill was not the worse...
