Lightbar Connection

    Gentlemen,

    I want to install LIGHTBAR with two 55W halogen bulbs. Here below, I attached simple diagram how I want to connect the lightbar. The question is, is it OK to supply 12V to the bulbs from “POSITION LIGHT 10A ? Or, is it better to supply 12V directly from a battery (as shown in “green”) with extra 20A fuse. Please have a look.     Halogen lights, no, LED's yes. Halogens will take around 8A running current on their own plus the initial surge, too much for the 10A fuse and wiring for the sidelight circuit. LED's will use probably a third of that or less. I wired mine (LED's) into the headlight main beam circuit as I didn't want extra DRL's.

    Thanks, for your post. I may consider to replace halogen bulbs with LED , but then diagram will be different.
