I've just watched the first two episodes of Lawmen Bass Reeves, it's brilliant so far,

 

Just watched Lia Block climb Pike's Peak in her dad's car.

 

Just watched 'The great escaper. Excellent film and very touching in places.

 

We just rewatched all three of the Ironman movies with Robert Downy Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Don Cheadle. I forgot how much fun those movies are!

 

@David Cooper, Steve and I just watched the first two episodes of Lawmen Bass Reeves this evening. You are right, it's is brilliant so far! Thanks for the recommendation.

Saw Napoleon on Wednesday on a huge screen at the Odeon, very impressed with magnificent battle scenes, good cast, good acting and other than it was about the French it was a superb film and highly recommended.

Killers of the flower moon:
3+ hours of repetitive shite, in my humble opinion! We were wedged in the middle of a row, if I was on the end I would have walked out at 2 hours…. Critics loved it but not for me..!

I think film critics should be totally ignored. I remember years ago there was a film called Brokeback Mountain which the film critics raved about and it got great publicity. I have never met anyone who has seen the film.

 

I saw Killers of the Flower Moon yesterday afternoon, the first bit puzzled me, but once I understood what was happening I enjoyed it.
The Indian heroine Molly was played by Lily Gladstone who is distantly related to Prime Minister Gladstone.
However, I was on the end of a row in a nearly empty theatre.

 

Watched an old favourite of mine (again), Twelve Angry Men (the original 1957 Sidney Lumet version). Proof that you don't need fancy locations, expensive film sets or CGI to make an iconic film, just powerful performances from great actors.

 

Probably the most boring film I've seen this year

Great road movie about a young Che Guevara. If you’ve not seen it, it’s well worth tracking it down.,

 

Currently watching "Lucky", the serialised story of Bernie Ecclestone, from his humble racing beginnings to F1 supremo in an era which is a far cry from the jazzed up debacle which is F1 today. Some fascinating racing footage and interviews with past greats of the sport and the sad tragic end that met many of them at a time when fatalities were almost an accepted part of racing, plus an insight into the battles between FISA and FOCA. Modern F1 doesn't really interest me but this is a great watch for classic racing fans.

It's on Quest which I'm watching on the Sky box but I think the channel is also on freeview.
