Whats The Last Thing You Bought?

Well, the Legend Gear side bag that bore some of the brunt of my accident has now pretty much fallen apart. I'd originally opted for the smaller size, but instead of going for a single straight replacement I actually bought a couple of the larger 13.5l bags instead.



My thoughts are I can then use the remaining smaller bag as a tail bag, which would give me 37 ltrs of storage in total.

 

Nice choice, Tony! Maybe it was all for the best that your Legend Gear side bag "retired" itself. No use bearing those scars if you don't have to.

 

Haggis and Black Pudding Sausage rolls at the Meadows Park Edinburgh. Washed down with decent coffee from the two vans parked there. All gone now, so too late to photograph!

 

I picked up some used part bargains at the Destination Triumph Dorset sale today.

Hi all,an update regarding my Street twin exhausts.Some may recall my earlier posts as i wanted my standard pipes to sound deeper more like a 900cc twin Bonneville as i remember them,never going to be the same exactly but nearer.I have had a pair of TEC Rebel slip on’s that were/are to me a great improvement over standard,a deep richer, more powerful sound especially under power and great on the over run changing down.After watching a you tube video that shows a chap that had drilled the baffles from his standard pipes and how it has improved the sound to his liking and mine.Yesterday a very good fella (a diamond driller ) cut the baffles from my set with great success.Today i put them back on the bike and took it out for a good run and WOW exactly what i had hoped for,feels as it should in my opinion,a 900cc powerful twin Bonneville,now i have the looks i fell for originally along with the sound that suits the bike and myself.Happy days.Yes i know there are folk that are content with how the bike sounds as is and that’s great so please resist the urge to point it out to me,thanks.OApete.UK 1 Image of very small baffle.

 

Hi all,the header pipe end of the pipes are around 36mm,the tiny baffle tube is 20mm small wonder its muted but regulations must be followed by manufacturers.Well i found a chap that offered to drill the baffles out if possible and with some effort he managed it.what i was after is a deep throaty powerful beat on tick over and A Bonneville sound under power and thats exactly what i have.Has bought another level of enjoyment to riding the Street Twin.Pipes look perfectly standard keeping the rear of the pipes still having the inner tube,and that tube size is all through now.I have had a pair of TEC Rebel slip ons fitted and they sounded great but i wanted the original pipes on the bike because thats what drew me to the bike originally,now is aural and visual bliss.Ride safe.Pete.Essex.

 

I bought the wife a drink tonight after some batting this afternoon. Half a pint of soda and blackcurrent with ice. Do you think this was too extravagant? (I did get 10% off using my batting club members card)

Thanks, Tony! It is a wonderful bike and I think I'm in love already. It's definitely a replacement since we can't squeeze even a scooter in the garage with the four bikes and a car. I sold my Fat Boy privately to a good home. My boss, who is also a friend and riding buddy, bought it! So it's a win-win. And, about you being jealous...you did say you were looking at this bike, too. Hmmm, just sayin'...
