Well another glorious day here in Lincolnshire, so time to jump on the Thunderbird and do a 90 mile loop around the Wolds and wherever it might take me.
Well this time I landed up at RAF Metheringham. Now there's an interesting story connected to this base. The story goes that an airman who was based here during WW2, had a girlfriend, and they decided to go for a ride on his motorbike, sadly they had an accident, he survived, but she was killed. Now according to the locals every night at 21.00 you can see a WRAF walking down the road that she was killed on, the saying goes she's looking for her boyfriend.
Anyway whatever you think about that, here's a few pictures for you.

Born in sunny Scunny, from a multi-generational Steel works family! Brother still lives in Lincoln! Beautiful place to ride.

Hope to join the Triumph owners group in the next few weeks!!

What a story, @Bikerman. Even if it's myth, it makes for a sad yet romantic tale. Love the photos...and your bike is looking good, too!
