Somewhere midway on A836 between Tongue and Bettyhill looking North Same spot but a panoramic shot East to West looking South.
Yep we definitely like pictures. If you could also tell us where they where taken( he says cheekily) that would be even better.
Todays route (well what was intended to be) though I had to take a diversion over to Stonehaven, then down the A90 to Montrose and in to Arbroath as the B974 was closed from about 5 miles north of Fettercairn. Stated a bit overcast but that burned off quickly and it’s been another gorgeous day. Corrected map below (Shame I can’t delete the original)
Just off A99 looking South from Latheron Parish Church driveway. A9 about 2 miles south of Newport looking towards Scaraben A9 looking south midway between Brora and Golspie
Dunrobin castle A9 midpoint of the bridge/causeway across the Dornoch Firth looking to sea. A939 halfway between Grantown on Spey and Tomintoul B974 next to the Water of Dye (about 1.5 miles shy of Strachan)
Another great wee trip then, weathers been good again today. Pics are great too. Keep up with them & the posts of your trip. I’m at work tomorrow in Dundee, if you’re interested in a cuppa and a bike chat ?… . Ride safe. .
What a great trip and excellent photos! Does conjure up memories of trips I have done both solo and with guys off this forum. Most pics were deja vu's!
Todays route from Arbroath to Moffat Corrected map below, shame I can’t delete the original above Overcast when I left and stayed so till about 11:00 (as I jumped on the M90 South at Kinross). Called in on @Goofs in Dundee for a brew and a chat - was much appreciated and what a cracking fella
As requested a few shots from the day… This isn’t how to keep a secret , it tickled me anyways. On the A92 just south of the bridge over the Tay. looking south off the A91 a mile or two shy of Milnathort dropped a clanger in that I took the wrong bridge but it’s lovely and quiet. Was worried there were cameras (bikes are supposed to be 125 or less) but a bridge security fella said no cameras, so no worries - just don’t do it again. In his opinion he’d rather see all bike traffic go this way - far safer for everyone. No introduction required - an icon of engineering
Edinburgh castle Then these three all taken on the A701 lay-by where the road bends right (about 7 miles short of Moffat) and if you don’t it’s a 500 foot drop. Locally known as the Beef Tubs harking back to cattle rustling in days gone by.
