@Eldon I loved my Altberg boots - love the story attached to that bike too, a friend of mine was in the White Helmets, but it was possibly just before the dates on that photo - I had a peer at it and couldn't spot him anyway....
Today I solved my lack of a spray painting booth by using a 20+ year old tent that has been in the loft for the last 10 years. I prepped and painted this RD350 belly pan with Hycote rattle cans but will need to rub it down again tomorrow and use a filler primer to smooth out the imperfections.
Don't be such a spoilsport. I resprayed the inside of the boot on my Ford Escort estate back in the 80's. I was shitfaced by the time I finished
Too nice a day not to get out and about on two wheels, if like me you are retired or have a day off work. The NS400 has been sat patiently at the back of the garage for a while now so it was overdue an outing. They say flies are on the decrease, but I seem to have gathered a fair few on the visor today.
I have been MIA for a week or so from here (sanity break from the internet ) but I have been out and about on both of my bikes over the last few weeks a lot; most days in fact for fun and commuting. Last weekend Helmut took his Multistrada and I took my Fireblade and we did about 450 miles with a lovely night's glamping in a Tipi, listening to the pouring rain and idly wondering quite how strong wind had to be to blow bikes over. The weather was shocking to ride in on Saturday, showery on the Sunday, shocking for riding on Monday morning and nice Monday afternoon for the trip home. All the same, it was nice to have a weekend away and at least my waterproofs are good .
You should have done a sun dance around your bikes while smoking dried buffalo dung through a pipe and chanting "ee" "oh" "oing" "oh" over and over.
I went out on the NS400 this morning. It really is a hoot to ride. Does anyone know where I took this photo? I think it will be fairly easy for the guys/gals who live in East Yorkshire. That's the only clue I'll give, i.e. it's in East Yorkshire Answers on a Postcard. Lol.
Helmut is close,,but not quite awarded the (virtual) cigar. I'll leave it a while longer in case anyone else fancies a stab. BTW it struck me we could make a new thread. A picture of your bike next to a significant building or monument and we have to guess where it is. Where am I thread?
