Is it possible to simply exchange the UK instrument panel of my Thruxton 1200 for a European one?
My bike is a UK import and it's a bit of a hassle to convert speeds from miles to kilometers all the time. I found an original Euro instrument panel online and might be tempted to get that if a swap is easy.

I have a similar question in terms of gaining a rev counter on a Street Twin with the connection and loom being so similar to others.

Assuming we are talking analogue here..... back in the good old days for your issue, companies supplied Kmh stickers to simply place over the clock glass.
It can't be that hard on Autocad etc to create your own sticker with the right dimensions and demarcations to suit.
For you, personally, I wouldn't change the clocks.

I would have thought so, but I can't find any instructions on how to do that. I only found forum postings asking about this, but never an answer. Maybe it's possible on other models, but not the Thruxton 1200?

Very easy, just buy the EU internal panels (they are thin plastic circles), open the clocks and replace it. Bit of a hassle but I am not e great mechanic and I did it several times.

Where did you find those internal panels? I tried to find them, but Triumph does not list them anywhere as seperate parts. I only found the Arton Works replacement, but I don't like those very much.

Well, I installed the Artons, like them. I looked it up, I don't think Triumph sells the panels separately, only the complete kit, a bit expensive I guess. Maybe look for second hand?

Update: I bit the bullet and installed Artons after all. On second thought I like the look. Now if only there was a way to get at the miles/km settings for the digital displays ...

Easy to replace. Or you buy the Artons like I did, or the originals from Triumph. A bit of a hassle but I already did it twice and I have two left hands :D. You find tutorials on youtube where it is explained from A to Z. I recommend putting enough tape around the inner clocks behoren you reinstall them because they minst not be as waterthight as before...
