2019 Street Triple RS low. I must have not had my pillion seat firmly latched, when I reached my destination it was gone. I'm posting on the forum for replacement ideas, or even a part number I can search. Appreciate your feedback.

Is it an unfortunate opportunity to replace it with a cowl instead? Obviously not if you do take pillion passengers.

The cowl would need the seat to support it, I’d have thought.

From what I found for my 2021 machine the fitting destructions look as though you get the complete pillion seat replacement.

Further research in the parts catalogue for the 2017 -2019 machines found the seat cowl and its respective parts but cost wise it’s cheaper to buy the seat.

It's a swap for the seat on mine and I assume 2019 version too.

Maybe, I do know that the 2023 model seats are not interchangeable with those on our machines.

No, looks like 2019 ones are a direct swap the same as ours are though from a quick Google. I didn't mean the 2021 / 2019 were a direct swap between each other if that's what you mean, just that the cowl didn't need the pillion seat as support.

Apologies if I have misinterpreted your post. At my age it’s almost an art form. Or so I would understand from SWMBO. o_O

I had the same problem with my cowl on my 2019 RS, after two incidents and making sure by tugging on it, it still came off at high speed. Went back and found it on the road, beat up, but useable. I now keep it on with black gorilla tape.

When I fit my pillion seat or cowl, after locating the pin at the front I then give it a goodly thump with my fist to ensure that the pin is well and truly home. Also, just a thought, it may be useful to ensure that the key operated cable release of the pin is operating freely and properly lubricated. After all the only way the seat/cowl can come off is when the pin is released. If the pin is not fully engaged in the first place I can see that vibration may well loosen the pin further.
