About 3 weeks ago, we were mounting engine guards on my 2023 Speed Master. This required removing the tank. In the process, we broke a line, which I thought was the fuel line. Turns out it's a line that apparently controls the amount of fuel to the injection system. That diagnosis is the good news. The bad news is that, as this is a new model, no parts are to be had in the States. It's going to be 3 weeks before the part can be obtained from England!!!! I have 365 miles on her so far. I've been sitting at the kitchen table, with my helmet on, making motorcycle noises.....OK, not really, but I'm close. 82 degrees today and not a cloud in the sky. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
Easily done and the weeks will soon pass At 510 miles old my 765 needed a new rear wheel (cosmetically) but at least it didn't keep it off the road. Obviously we all need more than one bike in case of any such eventualities hence why I now have six
The word you are superseding for "stuff", just means dirt in Norwegian. Just say it and tell 'em your speaking Norwegian. The Store High In Transit explanation is BS.
Greetings from a fellow Yank. I don't know which bars you are installing, but I bought the Triumph brand bars after sending two off-brand sets back to the sellers. Seems their catalogs weren't updated after 2016 when Triumph went to the water-cooled engine and changed the frame. And the second vendor ASSURED me the bars he had would fit my 2018. But, even with the correct, overpriced, Triumph brand bars, the wife hadn't heard such foul language emanating from the garage since I smashed a thumb with a hammer putting in new window frames. Even with the tank off it was a PISSER! Good luck with the bike.
This tells me to be very careful when I install the guards on my Bonnie. I hope your part comes soon.
We found that even the correct bars were very difficult to mount. It was hard to get to the various bolts. I also expected them to be bigger. They look good in flat black, but they were really difficult to mount. Like everything else, the shop wanted an arm and a leg to install them....Good luck. The Mad Mongoose.....OUT!
Is it not possible to lash something up in the meantime? After all, it’s only a pipe carrying petrol.
Apparently, Mr. Mongoose THOUGHT it was a fuel line. I think he said it was part of the mechanical linkage.

The Triumph shop said today that the part should arrive in about a week. I'm anxious to get back in the "twisties." Several years ago, a retired airline pilot bought a large tract of land in Suches, Georgia, built a large log structure, and opened "Two Wheels Only," aka TWO. The son has since taken over, and caters to motorcyclists. They offer food, a campground, bathing quarters, and a large porch with chairs to facilitate BSing. During the summer, it's really neat just to sit on the porch with a cup of coffee, and watch all the bikes come and go. Folks from around the country stop by, and it's a great fraternity. We always look forward to the opening of TWO, as it heralds bike season in Georgia. Cheers! The Mad Mongoose....OUT!
