One of the many Tattoo Artists at work, I was amazed how many people attended the Tattoo Show, many had them done on the day, the whole show was excellent, love them or indifferent, they are fantastic to look at.
Hi Mrs V, yes I always intended keeping my STRS as I have put a lot of time and money into it, and wouldn't want to part with it, the new RS or Streetfighter V2 was an addition, although I originally only ever intended having one machine at a time, the days of having multiple bikes have gone for me, it takes an awful lot of time keeping on top of them all. I am looking forward to the new project though, are you still enjoying your Fireblade.
I am loving it, I like the feel of being over the front wheel - only really starting to get to know it now the roads have been dry this weekend - I went out on it on Saturday and yesterday and the Street Triple on Friday so have had a brilliant weekend (poor Helmut was on call for work, so I got to have all of the fun!!).

Not something I'd ever consider having done, I just can't see the point ( no pun intended) but I admit some of them are works of art done by very talented people.
Thanks for sharing photos from the Kickback Show, @Iceman. There may not have been a lot of bikes but there certainly were some creative and unique offerings. I'm sorry it didn't turn out to be a better event. But as you said, it did serve to rekindle your love of choppers and custom motorcycles and help you decide what your next machine will be. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you choose! BTW, I did notice a burrito stand. How are the Mexican food offerings in general in the UK??
Hi Sandi, my son and I did have the Mexican wrap, it was really good, there are very few places offering Mexican food here in the UK and that is a real shame, whilst I don't have any Tattoos, nor intending getting one (at my age anyway), I do love looking at them and the history behind them especially the Japanese ones, both my sons have a rather large amount of them and they are real works of art, they do go to one of the best in the area though. They get there love of bikes from me (they said they were fascinated with the Triton I built many years ago) unbeknown to me at the time, although they did accompany me driving all over buying quality parts for the build, although Mountaineering and White Water Kayaking was my main passion, but sadly no longer to climb the likes of Mont Blanc etc , although I have a trip booked for Switzerland this June with my wife, however we won't be climbing the higher peaks. Ride safe all from an ageing Rocker.

Excellent, @Jage! Enjoy that beautiful bike. I had a 2016 Thruxton R and it's one of the bikes I've had over the years that I'd love to get back.

Oh the c90 step thru field bike, I had one as well, drove the neighbours mad! We also for some reason had a c70 but with no engine, my best friend thought he could jump the stream in our local woods on it as the run up was down hill! Up the ramp he went, down went the front wheel and straight over the handlebars, hilarious! On a sadder note that same best friend died in a car accident at only 19 years old, and at the age of 54 I still miss him and often think about him. Thanks Nick for prompting the memory and a tear in my eye.
Hi funelli. Funny how little things like that bring back memories. I also lost a good friend in a car accident at 20. Think of him everytime I see an Imp car. He had a rally spec 1 and let someone else drive it,crashed it, my mate died. Sad days indeed. 59 still think of him time to time. Cheers Nick
First bike - Honda CB100 in 1974. Killed it within a couple of years by riding too hard from cold. Should have listened to Dad, but I did learn the lesson and still warm up any vehicle I drive (much to Mrs B's annoyance ) Suzi GT250 Yam DT400 (while living in Cyprus in early 80s - ideal bike for riding the around outskirts of Nicosia!) Hired a CB500/4 for longer rides. Too many years bikeless until I took my UK test in 2010 and bought a Daytona 955i. Triumph Sprint 1050 - fantastic sounding bike with the TOR exhaust fitted. 2nd Daytona 955i - swore I would buy something like a Speed Triple but the Daytonas are so much bike for so little money! Yamaha XT600 (bored out to 660) Current bikes - Morini 3 1/2 (a real hoot to ride around back roads but will probably sell this year) Triumph Scrambler 865 - still growing on me, new sussies have made a world of difference through the potholes
I love reading about peoples pasts and the unusual bikes more so. I started around 1977 aged 13 on a z200 in a nearby massive car park as I wasn’t old enough to ride, then joined the ‘in crowd’ of lads that were rugged field bike riders just after. They sussed out I was useful to them as I was handy with spray cans and good at making things….. the rest was history! So in that time scale I had one gap of 12 months in 46 yrs!!
