Start the bike without touching the throttle, leave until fan comes on and then 12 minutes from then.
The Scorpion comes with an end can and an 's' shape pipe to connect to the headers after you've taken the original exhaust off. I run mine without the baffle but I only use my Street for trackdays
Hi MrsVisor, may I ask, what year is your triple, and also is the RP silencer very loud with the decibel killer in place?
2021 and it is towards the louder end of the scale I would say, but adds a nice deep tone rather than being obnoxious. With the baffle out it is very loud.
Having just watched TMF put a new front end on the Kwacker’s exhaust system it has rekindled my interest in the subject. So a question for all of you that have modified the exhaust system on your Striple, did you also remove the Air Injection System?
First thing I did was remove the AIS and the evap canister set up. Doesn't really make much difference, but I knew it was going to be a mainly track bike and it removes a fair few bits of redundant piping and valves etc, to free up space when fitting the power commander etc. and makes it easier to work under the tank/airbox. Currently running a straight Akrapovic and std headers (gives about 124hp), but have a set of Spark headers to go on with the Akra when I get back from Almeria in a few weeks time.
From memory, it's a little fiddly with the pipes and fitting the bungs but not too bad, you need to reroute the fuel breather pipe. I used this kit for removal. https://smartmoto-electronics.com/evap-canister-removal-kit-pve-050
From what I’ve been able to understand so far it would seem that you are going to need the following:- This This And maybe this
I already have the Sai kit installed to remove unnecessary clutter so looks like I just need your first link which looks cheaper than the one @tcbandituk linked to. More reading required.
