I've spent a very frustrating two weeks, looking out the window at my new Speed Master, while recovering from a whopping case of Covid! Even after passage of the Covid, I've been left without energy and a really weak feeling overall. The good news, for me, is that I'll be going for a spin tomorrow!! After Church this morning, I jumped on the Bonne for a quick 100 mile spin, the 1st in 2 weeks. Bikes all over the road!!! Up here, the big dresser Harleys are the thing, except for a very cultured group, who ride Triumphs. It was great to be back on the road again! Cheers to y'all. Keep the rubber side down. I had the covid last summer, man it really knocked me down. It took over a month for my strength to start to come back. Glad your feeling better and able to ride again. I had my new Bonnie out for a 100 mile ride a couple of weeks ago. Weather is about to break here.
The best laid plans of mice and men......yesterday, we mounted the new saddlebags, excuse me, panniers, and the windshield, oops flyscreen. We were doing well, until we installed the crash bars/engine guards. This requires removing the tank, and, in the process, the fuel line broke!!! We were able to splice the line together, so I could get home, but Triumph advised having the bike towed to them for repair, as, if the line broke on the way to the shop, it would spew hot gas onto the engine head, possibly resulting in a large ball of flame!!! The good news is that Triumph will cover the cost of towing, under warranty. The bad news is that it will take 4-5 weeks to get a new fuel line from England! I love my bike, but am disappointed that parts are so slow in coming. Summer is here, and I'm a pedestrian!!!
Note on covid...I'm over the illness, but am left with absolutely no energy. Even the smallest tasks wear me out. The Dr. advised that, had I not gotten the vaccinations and booster, this likely would have been much worse. I'm totally confused as to what the govt. is telling us about covid, but I guess I'll continue to follow our CDC warnings?
I was never vaccinated and never will be, it took almost 3 years to catch it. It was rough but I survived. Now my body has a little better immunity for it. I never get the flu shot either, I just don't trust any of them. That's just me. Im not trying to be political here just stating the facts in my case. But it was a horrible 2 weeks+

When you say “we” do you mean that Triumph did the work for you? If so, I’d be insisting on a loaner whilst your bike is away.
I never understood how a elective medical treatment bacame a political issue, but do to some chronic health problems, I took every Covid shot I could get my hands on [5]. I don't like the medical profession much, but Covid would have been a death sentence in my case. Never got it, thank God. I am 77 and trying to live forever. Hoping to get out there and get some riding in this summer. Be safe. ...J.D.
