@Sandi T You can't beat a nice g&t when the taste buds demand it. Recently had some pineapple gin, I was wary of it being too sweet but it wasn't, just a nice subtle addition to the flavour.
You're certainly getting through a varied selection @Pegscraper , are you on one of those real ale challenges?
I'll look out for that one. A stout beer I really rated but haven't seen on the shelves for a few years now is Wells Bombardier Satanic Mills. Sadly I don't think it's produced any more so I'll continue my search for a worthy replacement!
It has a viscosity to it and isn't like coloured water. It's more liquor than whisky with a lovely blend of flavours and no harshness although quite leaning towards the sweeter side of things.
