    Hello all!

So I'm replacing the sump pan on my Thunderbird which needs painting black to match the rest of the engine. The old one appears to have been covered in some kind of protective coating.

Can anyone recommend what to use?

    Cheers

There are a number of things you could do, personally I would have it professionally done, contact Nick Adams at Camcoat Performance Coatings, they are about the best in the business, have a look at their website.

Thanks Iceman, this has answered a similar question I've been wrestling with.

I have Triumph's black ceramic coated headers on my Street Cup and the right header has chipped and the left seems to have developed some bad crackling around the joint with the exhaust port leaving me wondering whether they were properly cured (they've only done 4000 miles). Bing searches have failed to bring up any ceramic coating specialists nearby, that I could feel confident about going to.

Always good to have a recommendation and the website looks promising.

    Stay safe
