Be careful what you buy on EBay. A friend bought a penis enlarger for £95 including postage. He was sent a magnifying glass! Only instructions were 'Do not use in direct sunlight!'
Today I did the motor insurance renewal thing. Not bikes, but my car. I usually use the Meerkat comparison site (other comparison websites are available) and sure enough I got a quote £80 cheaper than my current insurer had given me for the coming years renewal. Now it happened to be Tesco Bank who gave me the cheapest quote (just a few pence over £200) so I went to their site from the Meerkat one and checked everything before signing up. Good News it said. If you have a Tesco club card you are entitled to a further discount. Naturally being in possession of such a card, I entered the card number in the appropriate box and lo and behold the price ROSE by £27! Despite my best efforts to get back to the original price, the website wouldn't let me and of course any efforts to pick up the phone and speak to an actual human being about this are totally discouraged. In the end I went on another comparison site, entered all my details again and waited whilst it crunched the numbers. To my suprise, Tesco Bank was again the cheapest, but this time even cheaper than before ( just £191). I went to the Tesco site and this time I didn't enter my club card details and got the insurance for the quoted £191. Its no wonder one of those comparison sites is called confused. com. I certainly am now.
