While I'd love to see an upsized version of the current design, if the vlogger below has it right we're more likely to see a more off-road oriented version, the 660XC, at EICMA this year. I suppose this fills out the TS range in a way the 660 never can but what are the chances of the 900 or 1200 line getting its own version of the current one? I'm just starting out on the 660 but am already looking down the road at its successor; sadly little else in the current lineup resonates.

I'm not sure Triumph need another off road biased Tiger model, they've already got quite a few.
Personally I'd like to see a 660 Sport with the full power Street Triple motor.

Yes, and with full electronics, a TS660 style exhaust, and integrated panniers.

Yes, except the integrated panniers. I'd rather take them off when not using them.

Same here, but I meant integrated as in "integrated into the design", not permanently affixed. That's one thing I love about the TS660 over the frankly ugly aluminum boxes of the rally versions of the larger versions, along with the fact that they're symmetrical with one another because of the exhaust design, unlike the Multistrada V4 for example.

I see what you mean and yes, I agree.
I had a Tiger 900 as a loan bike a little while back and that was an excellent bike but its not one I'd buy. The Tiger 660 seems more like a sports tourer and that appeals much more. I must try one

Triumph need something lighter with a slightly lower seat height than the current 900 to compete in the growing middleweight adventure segment. With the new 750 Transalp probably being unveiled at EICMA, the Yam T7, Tuareg and the Benelli 502 they're missing a trick and an adv version of the 660 would be perfect. The 850 Sport is too tall for me and although I could go for the 900 Low I'd rather not. And I don't like the back end of the TS660 personally...

I'm 6'2" and found the 900 Rally too tall. Every time I got on it I kicked the back seat.

Funny you should mention the Tuareg. It may seem like I'm playing both sides but I'm interested in both an upsized version of the TS660 for long-distance road and something light like the Tuareg for offroad but not a heavy compromise bike like the large ADVs.

A new base model Tiger 900 has just popped upon the Triumph UK website. Lighter and a lot lower than the TS850, simplified electronics compared to the GT... sounds ideal for me! Hopefully they'll have one for me to sit on at the NEC show. Cross your fingers, as I bet Honda will not be doing a road-biased version of the Transalp with smaller cast wheels, tubeless tyres and a lower seat height.

Do you have a link? I don't see anything there.

I'll never see the appeal of these tall bouncy bikes on the road. The Tiger 660 sport makes far more sense to me.

Is this a renumbering of/replacement for the 850? The seat height is 10mm lower but bike height and weight are the same; electronics seem similar.

Yep the 660 sport is excellent, just got mine and getting used to it.
Just can’t seem to figure out the dash layout yet. Everything else though seems brilliant.
Unfortunately with the weather and roads at the moment it’s a wash after every ride but even in this wet weather it seems really well planted on the road with its tc and abs.

I was seriously tempted by a Tiger 660 but when I phoned Taunton Triumph for a demo ride they told me they didn't want any more miles on their demo bike! The local Yamaha dealer was more accommodating so I bought a Tracer 700 GT.
Maybe I'll try for the Tiger 660 again in a couple years. I've still got my Bonneville though so I won't be without a Triumph.
The Tracer is a great bike, the current weather is not.

Yes it seemed difficult to get a demo on the 660 but I was fortunate enough to get a ride on one at motorcycle live 2022 and found it very good.
I then rode a Tracer 7 a week later but I wanted the Tracer 7gt which I also saw at the show but was informed it wasn’t yet in the dealerships and they weren’t sure when they’d get them in.
The dealer called me two weeks later and said they wouldn’t be getting them until May, he also couldn’t guarantee what colours they’d be getting.
As I liked both i just thought get the one that’s in stock.
    Hence getting the 660.
