Quick 30 mile blast locally to see what my exhaust sounds like (any excuse) as I removed the baffle yesterday. Answer = loud. Very o_O.

    IMG_20220918_051356_471.JPG Well today
Took my Cousin Alistair from England who is here in Western Australia out

Had to rebuild the top end of his bike
    IMG_20220918_051020_794.JPG

Head gasket had a big leak on his 1998 t300 Adventurer. So three day's work , head off and flat grind by hand . Rebuild and test ride today.
    Found these

Kellerberrin in WA , Alistair with the owner !! IMG_20220918_051816_304.JPG

What a great guy and an even greater find ! There were a ten or so Bike's in a shop on the main street , only one visible in the front window.
Owner happened to walk out as we were drooling over the Norton in the window.
He unlocked and let us in.
Great test ride, greater Discovery A top day out !!!!

145 miles for @Helmut Visor and I today (him on the Tuono) into Wales, around the Brecon Beacons area (heaving with bank holiday traffic!!) and a stop for lunch at the Honey Cafe, Bronllys - usually packed with bikes at the weekend but none there when we arrived, although some appeared later. Quick detour to Dom’s Bike Stop in Leominster for a coffee and then home. Nice half day’s outing :).

    @Aaron Brown
Although this is probably not a bike I'll ever ride, I really enjoyed reading your initial observations about your new bike, Aaron. I appreciate your attention to detail and your descriptions. Did you also post this in the Tiger Forum on here, too? I'll bet there are a number of folks who would appreciate your excellent report and find the information it contains quite useful.

Sounds like a good day out, @Mrs Visor! I'm missing the photos you used to post, though. Could you share a few with us here and there? From other posts it sounds like you're quite happy with your new exhaust! And suspension?! :)

I was very lazy @Sandi T and did not take any - we did actually say after we got home that we should make an effort to stop and "look" more as the scenery we ride through is often spectacular!!

I am very happy indeed with the exhaust and the same for the suspension, it really has transformed the bike from almost - perfect to completely perfect :).

Hah! Y'know, I'd actually forgotten that there was a tiger-specific forum. Thanks for the reminder, @Sandi T. I posted it there as well :)

Tough work day yesterday, so after work I grabbed the Speed Twins keys and went out for an hour.

Jumped off the bike quickly to take this photo before heading back home before it started to get dark.

After getting a load of holes and splits welded up on some Triumph 6T mudguards and upper fork covers i cleaned up the welding and dressed all the other dents out, i will finish them off properly when i go to paint shop to prep and paint them.

I've noticed a faint line appear on the rear tyre of my Street triple RS, just to the left of centre in this photo, I'm assuming its where the compounds change, but perhaps someone here more knowledgeable than me might know? It doesn't affect the handling (at least not yet) and as the tyre (A Bridgestone Battlax BT016 btw) has done nearly 4000 miles I'll be changing it soon anyway 20220924_122611.jpg

I don't rate the BT016 personally. I had them as original fitment on a Honda CB1000R and spun the rear up a few times, seem to take longer than expected to warm up.
Changed to my preferred Michelins and never an issue after that.

It's most likely a mould line from when it was manufactured. Seen them on a few tyres and never been an issue.
