I guess there will always be the Monarchy vs Republic arguement (I'm firmly in the first camp) but you can't fail to be impressed by today's proceedings. You're looking at almost 1000 years of history here. I have no link to Scotland, other than it being a favourite holiday destination and an intense love of the Bagpipes but I freely admit had a lump in my throat on several occasions today. The one exception I would give to that would be Sir Winston Churchill who also recieved a State Funeral. You just can't imagine, in your wildest dreams, any of the current bunch of muppets getting the same honour.
