Basically the road out of Llangollen was a 60 zone and this made it a good ride, even staying within the limit. The reduction for the complete ride to the ponderosa at 40 just seems unusual and unnecessary to me. I never seen any fixed cameras, but I’m sure the mobile van or police with radar guns will be all over it. Once you pass the ponderosa to cross the moors there are fixed 50 zone average speed cameras most of the way back to Chester. Like @RevPaul I don’t ride in excess of the speed limits and can enjoy a potter around, but not for long stretches. There are many other roads around that you can enjoy riding at the national speed limits. Although these are becoming increasingly rare.
It feels to me that riding a motorbike is being restricted and persecuted as more and more speed limits are introduced on stretches of open roads away from urban areas. Rant over.

Amen brother and I suspect more of the problem lies with fast Audis, BMWs, hatchbacks etc. My prejudice now exposed.

Top marks to this young lady in having the tenacity to pursue her dreams. But it looks as though you have to allow the potential employers to well and truly exploit your dreams of working in the industry before you can get a foot on the ladder. Absolutely disgraceful.

Finished work (working from home) at 1300hrs today so just had a quick ride out to Shobdon Airfield, had a coffee and came back. Only about 42 miles but still nice to get out :).

We have twins! First day out on the new (to me) 2020 RS today. What a bike!!! Here it is, in its natural habitat on this side of the pond… DF3ED9AE-5C98-4195-AD42-9B364FC48569.jpeg

Working from home with an early finish again, popped out for a quick ride and coffee at Dom's before I did some very exciting housework!

Excellent! I'd wager you enjoyed the ride more than the housework! :p

    Easy horn upgrade.

Bought a 500 Hz, PIAA horn on EBAY. $42.99 with free shipping (the single unit, not the dual setup). It arrived today and I installed it. Easy install. I disconnected the stock horn and identified the hot lead with a voltmeter (black wire). The instructions recommend installing the horn with the opening down. Apparently, it's sensitive to water infiltration. The strut coming off the PIAA wasn't positioned to allow the opening to point down due to a tab on the stock horn mount. The instructions advise not to loosen the screw fastening the strut to the back of the horn, so you can't reposition it. I figured I could mill off the tab on the horn mount, or notch out the strut on the PIAA, I chose to notch the strut on the horn. Notched the strut out with a Dremel and it allowed for enough of a downward cant. It's a good bit louder than the stock horn and sounds more like a blaring horn than the stock Roadrunner "meep meep."

I had some clothing to return to Sportsbikeshop and the local shops acting as drop-of points for collection refused to take them because the original box I’d reused was ‘too big to store’. So I butchered the box to make things small enough to fit on bike and return in person. So today I did 200 miles around sunny countryside with a stop at the Kirton store.

That is very nice. Polished to within an inch of it's life. Who wouldn't want that stashed in the corner of the garage :)

Bombed up the road to check that the electronic speedo is working. Speedo now reads 1 mile. :D

@Helmut Visor and I (him on the Nightstorm) rode to Ebbw Vale today for me to have my suspension set up - about 100 miles there and back including the test ride after Will had made the changes. I’ll do a review of it so won’t say any more here, but the difference it has made is incredible; it’s like riding a completely different bike (just when I thought I couldn’t love it any more…).

Link to the place for anyone who doesn’t want to read the review; you couldn’t meet a nicer, more genuine and passionate person: https://swbracing.com/?fbclid=IwAR0oPEO6FcU6VMvbTCoy-VaBNQR04dVjAtwdGxjP3nJvGXDBbZlArOzLGgk
