Finally, Zard has arrived. Now, I don't have any free time to mount it, but I'm on vacation from 8.8., so it will be soon.
I have to mention that product finish is premium, and there is no difference from akrapovič or termi.

It is not significantly louder, but it has deeper tone which makes it more "meaner" appearance on the road....... and looks way better.

    Tyre question.
Metzeler RR K3 is oem tyre on our 1200 and tyre pressure recommendation from factory is 2,34 bar front, and 2,9 bar rear. I ride on 2,2f and 2,7r.
From the metzeler site for this tyre, metzeler recommends significantly lower pressure. Have anybody here ride on the road with metzeler recommendation?

Those lower tyre pressures are for track use where higher temperatures are generated, I run RRs and stick to Triumph's recommended pressures.

    Hey all :)
I was close to buying a Speed RS last year. Ended up getting a Thruxton RS.

However, I’m toying with the idea of trading in the Thruxton RS for a Speed Triple RR.

What is the status from a reliability point of view. Reading the odd post, I’m not getting a warm fuzzy feeling that the RR is the most reliable of bikes. Or is that more a case of me reading about a small minority of peoples issues?
Whilst I like the idea of 60 ish bhp more and lighter weight bike. Not at the expense of ‘will it work’….

    Thoughts :)

imho, the notable issues, a few have been caught by a faulty exhaust servo, and a few with faulty oil pressure switch/sensor. It's not like the forum is overflowing with reports though. The other odds and ends, they fixed the exhaust flap cover falling off issue, presumably they now torque the left side cover bolts properly, and there was a recall on wheel bolts (?) for proper torque on the RS.

Mine started weeping at the left cover, but I simply retightened the bolts myself. Everything else has been fine here.

Hi Dickie, the black edition is loud as it has no baffle inserted, the growler does have a baffle, and this can be removed, however the black edition in my view is more aesthetically pleasing on the eye. Fitting a racefit exhaust removes the second cat, if you took your machine into the Triumph dealer for any warranty work then it is highly likely it would be rejected on the grounds the cat had been removed, therefore in the unhappy event you did require any warranty work, then put the original factory exhaust back on. No re mapping is required whatsoever, the machines ECU readjusts itself automatically.

    Thanks, thought as much.
It was the Black Edition that I was interested in, I'll have to try find one in the flesh & have a listen as I don't want something too loud.

Cool. Maybe I've read / watched too many forums / YouTube videos around electrical issues / quick shifter / gearbox neutral etc.

All said. I've just ordered a white one. Under £14k brand new in white. Trading in my year old Thruxton RS
Hopefully arrive before Christmas and in time for winter hahah

Just ordered the Leiker LKR Round end with carbon end can ... loved the look of the welding on the connector pipe - had similar on my MV Brutale. [IMG] . Sound clips don't sound too loud so hope not to offend the neighbours too much :)
