Evening, Has anyone on here used the new Eemshaven to Kristiansand ferry yet? I’m just at the very early stages of planning an Arctic circle ride next year and am looking at the feasibility of getting the Hull to Rotterdam ferry then getting from Rotterdam in the morning to Eemshaven to get the same day departure that afternoon. Just wondered if anyone had done this?
I'm in Norway and I had missed this. The little knowledge I just got by searching you probably have already, but this is what I found. It takes 18 hours and they require that you book a cabin. They have the necessary equipment for strapping motorbikes. It started up in April this year. It's always good to have alternatives, and this will save you the 7,5 hrs ride to Hirtshals where you can board one of the two ferry alternatives to Kristiansand (2:15 or 3:15 hrs).
I've not done it, but you should be able to get to Eemshaven in time. The distance would be approximately 180 miles, 3 hours taking the quickest route:
