    Catching up now! :D
    This was me going up the coast into County Durham - first stop, Seaton Carew (or Seaton Canoe as the locals call it).

    Some of you will know the story of John and Ann Darwin - (especially as a new drama has just been on TV), - the man who faked his death to defraud the life insurance companies by faking a canoeing accident.

    There's not much there to be fair apart from a brilliant sandy beach, like most of this coastline but the town is a bit run down and in need of some TLC.

    It's actually quite comfy despite being pretty firm. I've done a trip around Herefordshire and bits of Wales on the bike, and rode it from Hampshire to North Yorkshire mostly on the motorway and didn't feel like I'd sat on a plank of wood for four and a half hours. :cool:

    Wonderful photos and descriptions, Steve! Beautiful scenery...Seaham looks particularly enticing to me. And you had beautiful, sunny, blue skies!! Hurray! :sun::cool::D Looking forward to looking over Episode 2 right after I hit "Post Reply" on this one.
