I have been left a small sum of money from my Grandmother and decided to make a purchase that she would have wholeheartedly approved of and would have appealed to her nature. So I have finally purchased a very nice quality helmet. I absolutely love the design, I was almost afraid to show @Helmut Visor and the forum as it's a radical departure from my "norm" but it's some fun and frivolity and Grandma would very much think it was great, so I shall wear it with pride!! I have put on a picture I found online of the front as the reflections from me taking a photo were terrible!!
Wise man, it's definitely a source of huge annoyance when items reappear in the washing machine.....what price marital harmony? .
This time my wife and I afforded ourselves a nice piece. Since we are both tech geeks, we afforded ourselves a TISSOT T-TOUCH CONNECT SOLAR watch that runs for up to 6 months after one charge, or if you have enough light, doesn't need another charge at all. Initial setup is tedious, requiring a smartphone via Bluetooth connection to activate updates and basic settings. But once you've done that, everything works wonderfully and easily.
That they are, @Wessa. I had a pair on my Road King a few years back and remembered them being comfortable. But I forgot just how comfortable they really are!
Very nice, @Markus! Just make sure the change purse doesn’t end up in the wash instead of the loose change.
It's extremely interesting to see how TISSOT has implemented the individual modes and the hands of the watches then each "dance" into different positions.
@Sandi T: You are so right! Now I have the chance that I sink the whole thing in the washing machine because of the size of the purse.
After a new motorcycle accessories store opened in our town a few days ago, my wife and I had to go there to do some shopping starting with the opening day and meanwhile already 2 more times. My credit card already had the pleasure to "glow", because we were successful as feared and have purchased numerous things. In addition to new shoes, T-shirts, etc. I have purchased the following item. Just right for me as a coffee junkie.
I recently bought a stethoscope ! It's for the America , no really ! As I have to find the "knock" in the motor. With a big long screwdriver you can't really tell if it's Top or Bottom ! I really splashed out some big pennies. Cost a whole $11 and change , including free postage LoL.
That's a terrific Bell Bullitt for something like the DGR or a bit of run for coffee nearly, @RevPaul". But that bell helmet and a Shoei are almost like two totally different things...not just two different helmets. I've had a number of Bell Bullitts over the years and many of them had some sort of factory custom paint job. I really used them to ride my 2012 Thruxton then later my 2016 Thruxton. These days I stick with my Shoei and Arai full face helmets.
That's just the helmet I want but can't justify it at the moment as there is nothing wrong with my current Shoei
I wouldn't have been able to justify it before really, maybe you'll grab it in the sale at some point? Think I got one of the very few XS left though. I have a pin head....
Having taken a fair few soakings in less than fully waterproof kit recently, I bought some proper waterproofs; recommended by @Helmut Visor as being superb. I bought the men's version as I didn't fancy paying an extra £15 on a £24.99 purchase for being a woman. I got the XS in both the trousers and jacket and they're very roomy still over a few layers that I tried them with but the elasticated waist on the jacket and velcro straps on the trousers should stop any movement or billowing (hopefully). The quality also seems great for a total spend of £64 but the proof of the pudding is in the eating and all that jazz.... As an aside, one of the reviews mentions keeping them in the tail of their bike, I can say with confidence that they're not a Street Triple owner as I fit a disc lock in mine and not much else .
I hope you have more luck with your Richa waterproofs than I had. I bought some Richa waterproof over trousers at the bike show in November . Didn’t need to use them until I went to the TT in June. Stood on the side of the M6 in a refuge area, pulled them on for the first time and the zip came apart in my hand.Absolutely useless. Of course had lost my receipt…..
I hope so too - @Helmut Visor loves his......mine don't have a zip on the trousers either so at least that can't happen!!
